Last week I took my 2015 Ram 1500 60,000 miles to the dealer to get some recalls done (tailgate latch, occupant restraint control module, and autopark). I also had them replace my passenger side broken manifold bolts since my warranty is up next month. So I go pick my truck up and just a few miles down the road I smell something burning. There was coolant all over my engine bay and pouring everywhere. I turned around and took it right back to the dealership and they tell me the water pump went out. I am no mechanic but doesn't the water pump just drip out of the weap holes and not spray all over? I'm not sure if they had to take any hoses off to get to the manifold bolts but it being on the passenger side I didn't think so. I am just trying to see if the dealership was telling me the truth or if you guys think something else could of happened. Sorry for the paragraph, but I just thought it was too much of a coincidence the water pump went out driving off of their lot.
