Owners manual says “when vehicle is in motion, 150lbs”

Kinda odd there’s a weight limit while in motion not loading and unloading...I guess in motion would be more of a safety concern.

I had a tailgate cable snap on an older truck and I’ll never overload one again, scared me to death.

I read somewhere it's important to make sure that the tension in both stock cables are similar, meaning you don't want one side slack. Mine appear to be ok, but the plastic cover on the driver side cable is scuffed/chafed for some reason.

I bet it's cuz of the bouncing as the truck drives down the road would put extra stress on the tailgate.

Well mine will hold at least 330lbs.

I've had a couple of guys that were well over 200# sitting on the tailgate without any problem.
