Weird sewing machine noise

Been chasing this noise. Any idea. Both manifolds are new. You hear it when you’re driving. Sounds like a sewing machine. 2017 dodge ram 5.7 43k miles

Well i checked the driver manifold bolts, was able to turn them quarter turn and some more. (These are brand new) I know the torque spec is low. Did a road test and it was louder. Started scratching my head a bit.

I did notice the steering wheel grommet there. Looks like theres 2 pieces one outside and one inside . I played with it while the wheel well was off. Then i decided to check inside the cab. There it was, the inside grommet wasnt pushed in. I clipped it back in , went on a roadtest and no more sewing machine in the cab.

Did the manifold bolts make a difference, not sure. I think it was just the steering grommet that wasnt pushed in properly.

Ya but the noise was entering in the cabin and wasnt normal. Til i found that steering shaft grommet wasnt clipped in. I was concerned.
