Haven't posted on here in awhile but still have mine. He doesn't get used that much now but did treat him to new shoes this Christmas, a new set of 315/70/17 MT AT3's. Hopefully I can get to getting a paint job one day but he's still running strong at 250k miles

got her back today .... thay dropped the box and put a dent on the bottom of the quarter but nothing i can't fix. .. and a few bucks off the bill. ... new to me engine. .... it don't seem to run as strong as the one thay took out but runs real good and smooth.... but it still has all the rods still in it and 65 psi of oil when warmed up so im good with it. my engine had red injectors in it this one has black. il put the ones from my mill in and my MSD coil that should help. all in all spent 1300 bucks for a mill new clutch new seals and gasgets and a box instaled and drove away. ... not a bad deal

I drove mine today. Been nearly 2 weeks. Miss the ol girl. We got a small blizzard followed by freezing rain and i love my 12th gen f150 but good God does it suck in winter. Too many traction control nannies that you can't fully disable, electronic locker i had to bypass to get manual control to use it above 25mph and the tires kinda suck. Can't do anything without being 4x4 when there's fresh snow

Took my retrofit headlights out and put in a new set of chrome clear 2pc headlights with basic halogen bulbs. I had messed up connectors and a rat's nest of wiring with the HIDs/projectors, one of the projectors busted a mounting tab and the 1pc lights were impossible to aim. I just got tired of the hassle. Maybe I'll do another set for it someday but it's not currently on my radar.

Ordered a new thermostat and thermostat housing. My housing is Frankensteined for my electric fan's temp sensors. I have the FF Dynamics extreme fan kit to put in and it uses a much simpler method AND the controller is adjustable so no swapping sensors around. Friday I'll be ordering the Genos Garage winter front cover too. She's going to be winter prepped nicely.

Today i got a call from the 2nd machine shop on my engine build. My Eselbrocks CC'd at 57.6 for the chambers instead of the 62ish i was expecting. That changes the static compression calculation from 10.2.....to 11.3:1. My cam has a decent amount of overlap to bleed some of that cylinder pressure but even still that's too much to use with boost on 91 octane. I wish i had a station with 93 closer than 38 miles away. Could do e85 but that brings in its own challenges and problems i don't really want to deal with too. I was stupid and assumed the Edelbrocks wouldn't CC accurately because nobody else's ever do and gave the shop the go ahead to deck the block. Soooo I've got some thinking to do. My options are:
1. Put it together as originally planned and run e85 or 91 with boostane. That plan makes fuel sourcing a nightmare because Iowa e85 is inconsistent as hell. You really need a flex fuel sensor or knock sensor setup to run e85 right around here
2. Say screw the blower and put a different cam in it for a fun N/A driver. Blower can either be sold or saved for the next magnum i mess with. Cam would go from my current 230/234 112 to something closer to a 242/250 108 -110.
3. Get the engine put together and just wrap it up and save it for the next project. When that's done pull the motor in the truck out, dingleball rebuild it and put the blower on that.

Im just not sure what im going to do. Luckily i have probably the next 6 months to think about it
blower for sale you say ???? maby????

"Bolt-on" but the headers won't fit around any accessories, has no downpipes, intercooler piping is generic universal, wastegates are fake and turbos are so small Honda people would laugh.

You're far far better off fabricating or paying somebody to fabricate

Welp. My old girl had a wheel bearing go completely that wiped everything else out on that wheel. Shop quoted me $2700, and I worked it up to about $1200 in parts. I ended up deciding on eating it and putting that towards a down payment on a new rig. I could do the project, but being that it's winter in PA and I don't have anywhere really to work on the truck it makes it harder.

That being said! Anyone in the Pittsburgh area that's looking for a good truck it's worth the project. Also have a set of four Mickey Thompson Classic IIIs that are only a couple years old, and haven't seen winter. They'd look good on someone else's rig!

Today was a interesting day to say the least. I had been noticing various oil leaks developing under the vehicle, and since Im working and just had a medical procedure done, wasn't up to doing the work myself. so my grandson who got me interested in diesels in the first place, told me about a new local diesel shop in our area. so he looked at it said the oil pan gasket was leaking, vacumn pump, and tranny pan gasket along with rear diff gasket, and possibly rear axle seal or brakes. no way I could do the oil pan gasket, just not set up to do it, and too much for me physically. so he gave me a quote I said go for it. a few days later he calls and says he up too 2500 and still needs 1300 more to do the rear end, my first thought was, WTF 1300 for a brake job and service the rear diff, no way!!!!!. so I told him nope finish what you got apart and stop, I will do the rear end. as it turns out the brakes were not leaking, but I had a serious crack in one of the leading brake shoes all the way to the metal, my grandson and I worked on it from 10am or so to about 3pm, the rear diff was and has been leaking for quite a few years, and I knew it needed a new gasket and fluid. I had heard it took 5 quarts, but by the time all was said and done it didn't quite take 4 quarts before it was spilling out the fill hole. so far I only worked on the rear diff and the right rear brake, the brake star was seized up so I liquid wrenched the thing too death. got it working, battled the springs. was some quite large metal shavings stuck too the magnet on the rear diff cover, so thats not good, hopefully it will last me a few more years so I can save up enough money for a new slug, I'm planning on keeping this old heap for quite some time, she is a beast. will wait for warmer weather to do anything more just too darn cold for these old bones

I actually sold it to a local guy as is for $1k. He works at a different shop down here. They honestly couldn't even get it into their garage, which I'm surprised if they didn't have a dolly or a skid, but c'est la vie. I bought a 2014 Ram 1500 that only had 29k on it, and have since been decking it out with toys. I like it, but I'll certainly miss my ol' girl.

Installed a new bumper cap. Front end is catywomous...so something is not straight. I think it is the grill. Broken grill attach bracket.
