Nice Bullitt, can't wait to see it.

I hear ya Tweek. If I lift it, I'm going to stick with stock rims I think and just get a set of spacers. I don't off road much if ever, so I wouldn't be worried about spacers breaking off road. I would get a set of 35/12.50R17 from TreadWright, a re-tread company. They run $175 a piece, which is a sweet deal. They're killer off road too. Had a set of 285s on my old ram 1500 and that thing went through everything! 3 ft snow drifts, sand, mud, you name it. Killer grip on road too. They also had an amazing tread life. Most people get about 50-60k miles out of them. I'd love to get some 37/12.50r17s but they don't make that size, so the cheapest tire I could find was right about $300 each lol.
What type of tire/tread style? Retread good for towing and abuse? I'm looking for tires now they are worn out, especially without four wheel, mine are 315/70/17

We do have snow & ice here & my truck doesn't care since the Powertrax No-slip is in.
It is awesome!!!! I know I don't have to worry about either anymore.
& take off from a stop the rear end feels way tight - in a good way, before it would go but felt like a delay.

What did you go with? I'm debating on new speakers, but I want to go completely active with my Sundown 100.4, so I believe I'm going to have to spend some money to find a good set of components that will handle 100 pure watts on each component, especially the tweeter while sounding awesome at the same time.

Opinions go either way if they're okay for towing. From what I've seen, as long as you don't go over towing capability and jeep tires properly maintained you should be okay. Research them and read reviews. I had a set of 285s on my old ram and they were awesome in the snow. You can YouTube video reviews of them for performance too.

I would go with Rockford Fosgate's, they will handle the power & sound great.

Checked real quick, looks like my size and in a 35 they only have a mud tire, which is what I want anyway, was asking which tire you had, have to check what shipping to Maine would be to see if it's a good deal or not or gonna cost the same as getting tires right here.

Figured you'd like it, had a Yukon with a locked read end and it would go through anything, always felt safe in the worst storms. There's another one on rockauto can't remember the name. Someone jumped in and said don't use em for daily driving which I've heard before so what made you go with it? I think I want one.

Looked on YouTube and there's some bad ones too. Like one with tread separation which is what I was worried about especially towing. I do like em, and the tread is like the Goodyear mtr before they changed the tread, had those and loved em. Gonna keep checking into them.

I went with it because of price, installing another carrier or whole other diff from another truck would also be more expensive since I could not find one with a LS for less than $1800.

For installing a new carrier would be like a full rebuild of the diff since no one would give warranty unless new bearings & gears would be put in.

RF hasn't made anything that would meet my needs since the early 90's. When I say sound great, I'm talking audiophile quality with proper staging, not just loud. I've actually got an old set of Image Dynamics compression horns, which were at one time revered for SQ, but finding a spot to mount one on the driver's side may pose a huge problem.

I went with jbls all the way around. Was really a quick impulse buy cause had some extra PayPal money.
