It is a great fit! Also has the alignment pins so you don’t have to center your bumper. It’s got a smooth Powdercoat finish on the outside, not a primer which is nice. The only thing I used different were the original bolts to fasten bumper on, because the new bolts don’t come with the attached flanges like the OEM does.

I'm glad you like it because seller doesn't accept returns!

I hadn't seen or heard of that bumper before but do like the option for the bumper step, but the thing that sucks is damn near everything I want from eBay - or private companiy - does not ship to Hawaii. Some will do freight forwarding, but that can sometimes be a pain. The only way for some parts is through the local four-by-four shops and subject to them actually dealing with the particluar vendor that you want the parts from.
I’ve lived in Germany and because we’re military I was able to get parts shipped to the base pretty easily. Took a little longer, but it was easy. You got a military buddy you might be able to get things through the base easy.

Wow including me and you, this is like 8 people in the past 5 days who needed a new battery either because their truck wouldn’t start one morning or the voltage reading was low and truck was having issues. Cold weather change really f***s up batteries!!

Down here in sunny Florida the heat takes a toll on batteries. With a 5 year battery, you are lucky to get three. I have to check the code on mine to see when it was assembled. It was in the truck when I bought it used in June and will probably need to be replaced soon.

Yesterday I switched my headlight assemblies from factory dual to a pair of aftermarket quad assemblies. I like the look and I was finally able to replace the broken right-side assembly.

I still need to finish the bodywork and get the fender painted, as well as paint the plastic bumper cover and pop out the dent in the chrome bumper.

You’re the first member on here that I’ve come across who also has the Air Designs tailgate panel. It looks soooo good on your black truck. Have you figured out a fix for the panel hitting the top pad of the rear bumper anytime the tsilgate goes down? Because as it is right now, I can not stand or put weight on my tailgate when it’s down otherwise the Air Desjgns panel crushes against the top of the bumper and damages it. I got lucky the first time it happened that there wasn’t any damage and all that happened was a horrible sounding crunch.

Oh and I love the rear bumper. I just bought a new one, preprinted, off eBay for $286 about 2 months ago and I really really wish I had saw that one with the rear steps because I would have much rather had that one and the black finish it comes in would totally match my trucks color palette.

Hmmm...I’ve never had that problem with the panel slamming onto the pad.
I do have the DeeZee tailgate assist which probably is the reason I’ve never seen it happen.
Your bumper looks awesome in red!!!
A step one would look really cool in red!!

After not finding my winter box before the 15" of the white stuff last week, I had to find another compact shovel other than the military folder. Went ammo shopping(well looking) at Sportsman's Warehouse and found this lil guy. It can extend to abit longer, but when compact it fits nicely in behind the seat with the tool kit, stepstool and extinguisher.

The backseat mod, is the best thing so far. Not only because it was cheap, but funtional.

Hey bud I think you need to readjust the new tips. Passenger side looks to be sticking out past the bumper 2”-3” more-so then the driverside tip.

Oh damn, that sucks. Yea... I live just outside Philadelphia (where “Bad Things Happen In Philadelphia” ~ Trump) so my truck has to not only deal with the 90-100 degree hot summers, but also the ridiculously cold and frigid North East winters where it gets to 5-15 degrees above zero. So my trucks battery is going through ups and downs every year.

It does but i dont know how to adjust it. I stuck them in as far as i could, and if inlet the driver side out it wont be long enough to connect. Any help?

I have the DZ assist too. Maybe the step bumper sits differently or lower and so the panel doesn’t hit it. Even just a 1/4” would make a difference in hitting or not.

I think your passenger side clamp is not sitting right on either the exhaust tip or the truck side piping. And if it is, it sounds like someone replaced the piping and it wasn’t cut to the proper size.

All you can really do if it’s the wrong size piping on your truck is to find a longer exhaust clamp that is another inch or two long and use that and then you will be able to “pull” the driverside tip out furthur to match the passenger side. Best bet would be amazon or eBay for a longer clamp.

I’ve had the panel on since I’ve owned the truck and just recently replaced the bumper a week ago. It’s never touched the pad like you’re describing.
I’ve noticed mine is installed a touch higher than yours. You can tell at the top of the headlights. Maybe that’s the difference.

You didn’t want to go taller?
Nope, though I only lost about 1/2 overall diameter. Height wise it's impossible to see the difference. I hated the width of those 315s. I drive 150 miles a day and once at 1/2 tread these wider tires ALL had bad mannerisms in lousy weather, no matter which brand. The truck genuinely feels different with the 285s. I drive too much to validate anything bigger, plus I have the 3.0 diesel and enjoy my 25+mpg.

Top it off with the fact I could get the 315s to rub the tops of my fenders at full stuff. Though not a super common occurrence, I wasn't looking to test my luck. So far I'm happy I went this route, especially with the weather we've currently been seeing.

I changed the oem muffler with the carven progressive and they were even before i changed them. When i put the pipes up the left one was never the same. I mustve done something wrong but the hangers look all good to me. I may have to take it to a "pro"

Swapped out the speakers in the dash and all four doors. Need an inexpensive sub and enclosure. Not sure which one to buy

What speakers did you use? I used JBL’s Club series when I did mine. Do you have an aftermarket head unit or the stock one?

Got pretty pissed off at it yesterday.

So, we had temperature changes the last 2 days. Below freezing temps and now the TPMS seem to be all whacky!
It's saying that my passenger side tires, both front and rear, need to be filled to 39psi., but according to the diagram in the instrument cluster, they are ALL below 39psi.??? I'm going to drive around a little bit and get gas and see if that helps by warming them up. If not, I'll try putting some air in while at the gas station.

The drivers side may not be below the trigger PSI to turn the warning on for those to be aired up. What are the drivers side reading?
