Roundtrip Maryland to Colorado, rode both Durango & Silverton and Cumbres & Toltec narrow gauge steam trains. Got average of 20 mpg. Besides stopping for fillups, cleaning the bugs off the windshield was all I needed to do. Great truck, comfortable for long trips.

Washed it and ordered more Fluid Film. It's that time of year again.

Added need bars for my wife (went with 4" who h is a mistake, should have gone with 5"). Added weathertek mud flaps front and back, Added wheel well liners, added bed rug and tonneau cover. Adding under coating and ceramic treatment. First snow already.

Had Line-x sprayed in on Monday. Installed the Bakflip F1 tonneau cover last night.
Tried to install Mopar flaps on Saturday, but dealer ordered them for a truck w/out fender flares (even though all Limited trim have flares).
Waiting for new flaps and side steps.
@NJ4X4 - too late 4 me with the fluid film. 1-2" last night and 22 degrees. Salt was applied this morning (so I drove the wife's jeep instead).

Installed trim for possible parking lot door protection. Comes in background colors so mine is Bright White. They also come in a solid color without the chrome insert. Dawn Enterprises Inc. if you are interested. Not sure it will do much though to protect. My wifes SUV door would hit it higher up on the door. I have AMP steps so looking into the on/off button for those to keep them deployed when parking.

I rigged a large D thru bolted over my shop garage and used a come-along to winch out my 5th wheel slider hitch. lowered it onto two furniture dollies and rolled into main garage for storing.

And it's my every day driver, too. I live real rural and there aren't that many places to just drive to for no reason. :anitoof:
Mine's my daily driver too...but I'm still working, and it's the "family" vehicle as well. If the Mrs. and I are going anywhere...it's in my truck. Which is why her 2010 Jeep J/K has 41k miles and her '23 Volvo we got last year, still hasn't hit 12k yet.

When I bought this truck, I sold my 2000 Silverado that I had purchased in Oct 1999. I had driven it for 23.5 years and it had 189,000 miles on it so I was averaging about 8000 miles annually. And that included several 1000-mile round trips from N. to S. California, a 4000-mile round trip from CA to Saskatchewan on a hunting trip, and a 2000-mile cross-country drive from CA to AR. Even living in rural N. CA farm country there just weren't that many places to drive to just for the purpose of driving. There have been numerous times this year alone when this truck has sat in front of the house for almost a week without moving because I haven't had the need to go anywhere.

Good thing I didn't get the Cummins. My type of driving would kill it because I seldom put more than 50 miles on it in a week, and the only time I get over 45 MPH is about twice a month when I need to make a run into "the city" 30 miles north.

Finally got around to spraying fluid film under mine today. Hate that job! But it needs to be done every year. This time I used this spray can nozzle trigger for a lot of it. Definitely made it easier!
