Flushed the brake system. It’s a ‘22 but the brake fluid was already a dark coffee brown.

The pic is from the drivers side front wheel, the last one done, 2nd time pumping out the fluid on that wheel. First flush was obviously much worse in appearance. Rear wheels were absolutely horrible.

I’m glad I did this.

Gave her a wash to get rid of all the winter grime. Now spring is her with the dang pollen and the turds at the concrete mixing plant beside my job are too lazy and stupid to use their water truck to keep the dust under control. It’s like a dang sand storm when a lot of cement mixers are in and out of their lot! She stayed clean for 2 days and now has a green grey layer of crap on her from the mix and pollen.

This week, not much. The Ram is running well. Popped the hood for the weekly engine room check. I did however wipe and clean the dust and pollen on the motor and engine bay with windex and ArmorAll wipes. Cleaned up nicely and looks like the day I brought it home.

This week, put in my usual top tier 89 Octane, topping off tank, and went to hand held car wash to spray off most of the pollen, which is really bad right now.

On 3-5-26, put new shoes on the ride. AT4W Falkens, stock 18 size.

Also since end of January had 2 new TPMS sensors installed, batteries running out as truck is 8 Years Old Come April. I know gonna have ro replace the other (2) eventually. Dang OEM sensors stupid expensive. Pictured left side new shoes on the Red Beast

Finally admitted defeat and bought new tires for the Rebel.

On the suggestion of my lift installer I purchased Venom Terra Grapplers. He has them on his TRX and said they were good tires.

I can only assume, even though he owns a TRX, he has low standards.

So today I installed a set of NITTO Recon Grapplers in 295/65/20. I can already feel the difference in ride quality. And almost no road noise.

Very pleased.

Sold it... It was about to age out of my Companies Vehicle allowance guidelines.

Went from my 2021 Rebel Level 2. To a 2025 Rebel 1 with the Hurricane.

So far I like it, I've lost some features but gained some as well.

I was cleaning out the garage a little this AM. I discovered a Gates Fleetrunner belt that I had forgotten about. (Receipt dated 10/25)

So the Longhorn got a new serpentine belt at 53K miles. A tad early but it turns out that the original had a few defects on the backside where I could see the reinforcing material showing through in a few places.

I’ve had very good luck with Fleetrunners.

Few days ago, had 3rd TPMS sensor installed (batteries going dead). (1) more to go, just waiting for that battery to fail in the last sensor.
1 month ago ish, got (4) New Falken AT4W's bought/balanced/mounted.

TPMS lasted 16 years on my Toyota FJ. One broke and was leaking badly. Batteries were fine.

Nope, this truck was built in April 2018, and 3 batteries have failed, just waiting on the last one to "die" than will get replaced. Considering it is a FCA product, happy made 8 years (sic) on the sensors. And FTR, friggin OEM sensors not cheap, but I only use OEM on anything "electrical" on these RAMS, not wanna chase electrical gremlins for my entire life(sic).

For better or worse, I installed a BAKFlip F1 tonneau cover on the truck. It is NIB never installed but it’s an older one and the design has changed. This thing was a PITA to install. I can see why they updated the mounting system.

I’m guessing my install time was probably 16 hours all told. :( Lots of little pieces that interact and need to be tweaked. The new design should be easier IMHO.

It looks good on the truck. Since it’s a hard trifold it’s a bit more secure than the soft roll up cover that was on the truck. Will it be watertight? I doubt it. The drain system is a bit rinky dink. I didn’t even install the front drain cups as they’re supposed to be held in place by adhesive strips. Like those are long term solid connection to a spray in bed liner surface.

But it does look good.
