Couldn't find much on the subject. Do most of you just leave your ball mount on?

I don't have the ball mount(yet) but wanted something to fill the hole.Found a few options and kinda liked the type that folds down and doubles as a step.

Anyone have this type and your thoughts?

I have the rubber mopar ram one. I like that it stays on there with the rubber that goes around the hitch.

Mine just stays empty as it won't fit in the garage with a ball mount on there, if I park it outside I just leave my ball mount on, gives people something to hit if they decide to run into me.

I purposely leave my ball on, simply because if someone tries to rear end my truck it'll protect it to a certain degree.

My hitch always stays in, keeps people off my ass a little in parking lots, and it provides a bit of protection if I get rear-ended. Make sure to have a locking pin keeping it in if you do leave it though, people love to steal unlocked hitches.

Usually the ball hitch. I switch mine back and forth between 3 trucks so often and different trailers that usually 2 trucks have a ball in them at all times

i usually just leave the ball in. i use it enough that it's too much of a hassle taking it out all the time.

I have this little step. Also works as a recovery point. Comes in handy and should work well it I get rear ended too.
