...A dealer could flash the transmission programming from, say, a Demon into our RAMs? I absolutely HATE the way my truck shifts under throttle, it's worse than a soggy marshmallow. Anyone here work as a programming tech that might know?

Last I heard the tune wasn't available for the 2018. Nick from gotexhuast a vendor here might have some info on the latest, another great place for information and tunes is Moes performance another vendor here. Be patient, help is coming, but maybe your best move would be a gear swap.

I've driven in tow/haul mode 24/7 for 7-8 years now. I love the way the truck drives, stays in higher rpm's and shifts way better.

Have you tried a PC ? My tuck shifts better with the lag taken out of the drive by wire. It's not as good as the Greene tuned 8 speed in my 6.4 chally, but better than stock. That being said Ill be getting it tuned after I eventually take care of all the recall flashes.

What's wrong with the way it shifts now? I think my 8 speed is bitter smooth, and I'm used to it and know what it will do every time.

When you find that dealer that can flash the Demon's tranny programming into the trucks,let the rest of us know,i'd kill to have the tranny brake option from the Demon,lol.Stock programming does leave a bit to be desired doesn't it,lol.My Grandmother could shift a Granny geared 4 speed including double clutching,faster then the 8 speeds do at full throttle with the stock tranny tune,lol.About all you can do is hit up a good tuner and spend the money to have your truck tuned.I think both HP and finally Diablo can tune your truck.Diablo's always behind the 8-ball compared to HP,but I think they finally have tuning available for the 18's now.Hit up either Jay Greene at Greene Racing or Matt Brown from Demon Motosports,as both are tuning the 18's these days

have you tried driving in tow haul mode?

I've played with it some, it just seems to extend the shift points under part throttle. Need to try it for full throttle hits and see if there's a difference there...

Have a 2014....just had a u53 recall for 10/18.....5 years later....you will just have restore stock tune when having recalls done & reflash performance tune afterward.
