Pic isn't working for me but you're referring to the A/C drier.

It separates the gas and liquid refrigerant, removes moisture and filters contaminants

Somebody probably unplugged it to make a warning light go off.

I dunno. Maybe it effects the compressor cycling on and off. I don't know enough about ac to know why a filter/separator would have an electrical plug.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything. I'm nowhere near an expert on ac systems either. Just would've been a new one to me lol.

And to the OP, that's a pressure switch(low pressure IIRC). It's used to cut the system off if the pressure gets out of a certain range to keep from damaging any of the components

im no expert but more than likly tour heater core is stopped up if it blows cold.... pull the hoses off the passenger side fire wall they are behind the ac canister you looked at (the input is on the right output is on the left) and use a air compressor and blow threw one and it should shoot the obstruction out the other its prolly dirt build up or somethin and make sure your antifreeze is full :birgits_tiredcoffee

If the sensor on the AC drier is pulled the AC compressor is DISABLED. So someone got tired of AC I guess... Or got other issues with AC system..

A/C is not really needed here in the pacific northwest so I'm not really concerned with that lol More concerned with HEAT

Could be a thermostat stuck open, does it take along time for the temp gauge to come up too?

Are your heater hoses warm or hot when the engine is to normal operating temp?

If a heater core is operation properly... Set the fan to hi and the temp to hot. If you check the hoses one should be a bit cooler than the other. If they are both hot then flow is reduced and I bet the heat is poor in the cab.

Check the blend door. Very common to pop the cable off of that guy and you will loose heat. You can look for it by pulling out the glovebox and shining a flashlight in there. Look for a small white lever. There should be a cable going to it. If not then there is your culprit. You may have to feel around up in there. After I replaced my heater core mine popped off. Had to reach back up in there and put it back on. Not difficult just a PITA to get to. Hope this helps on your heat issue.

I'll have a look at that this weekend. Think I'm going to replace the tstat also as even after driving 100 miles my temp gauge MIGHT move a needle thickness above the 130 mark
