New belt, new tension pulley and new idler pulley. The squeak goes away at 15 mph and above but returns when I get back to idle. Any ideas?

Some belts are noisy even new. What brand belt? If not belt...accessory noise.Bearing noise. I replaced a idler once and it was noisier than the old one.

It evens out with a change in rpm.

I wouldn’t say it’s all new I would say about 10 months old but for parts that new. However I haven’t had this problem till a month ago. The sound appears for a week or two then goes away. Only to show up maybe a month later

I put some belt dressing on it to see if that would change any thing and it did nothing.

No variation in pitch means not belt related.

I would SAFELY check all pulleys with a long screwdriver by putting it close to the pulley and put your ear on the end of the screwdriver and listen if you hear it and I do mean SAFELY if its not any of the pulleys you changed I would guess ac compressor

Could be the water pump. You can also run it with the belt off and see if the noise goes away. If it does then you know it’s pulley related. If not then likely engine related.

Welp took the belt off and the noise was still there. Thought it may be an engine mount but no. From what I have seen and got references on it’s the engine going out. Something on the driver side has bit the dust. Getting it professionally diagnosed next week for confirmation.

Sure can, we just a hemi in the shop not to long ago that made pretty much the exact same sound. Didn’t tick, had a metallic squeak sound. Never heard a noise from a hemi like that before. Tore it down and the cam lobe was wiped.

Not just you lol. We were all stumped at first by the sound. We learned something that day too.
