What kind of hid’s is everyone using?

Hey guys just seeing what kind of hid’s everyone is using. I’m looking to switch mine if there is something “better” out there? I’m currently running morimotos with 35w ballast. I think they are either 6k or 5500k. I’m ok with them but I’m getting a set of oem projectors retrofitted with D2s and might change my hid’s to something else.

I’m also running tyc’s. Any idea what would change if I ran the 55w ballast?

My understanding is they are a little brighter but burn the bulbs out faster.

Anyone have any experience with fierce retrofit llc? Thinking about letting them retrofit some projectors for me. I know retroshop does them but these guys are a little cheaper a d their quality looks good.

Been running 35W eBay China special HIDs in all my projector lenses for over 10 years. I’ve had a few ballasts go bad, contacted seller under 2 year warranty and they have always sent a replacement no questions asked.

Have probably a six pack on the shelf because they’re ($20), doesn’t cost much to produce high intensity discharge assemblies anymore. Fact is, even name brand buy components overseas for automation and labor.
