What reommended shocks for lifted 2500 diesel

Just bought a 2001 2500 quad cab diesel with what appears to be about a 4" suspension lift. Not sure what brand it is but it is the cheap kind with blocks on the leafs in the back and taller coil springs in the front. I must get new shocks in the back. So my questions are what kind of shocks should I get assuming a 4" lift and should I do the front too? It looks like whoever did the lift left the stock shocks on which may be why they are failing. Any tips or advice? Thanks in advance.

4" of lift on stock shocks is bad.

I am running Bilstein 5100s on my truck. They are spendy though.


Also for lift taller springs I believe is the better option

Bilstein 5100 are excellent. budget about $90 each.

I just ordered skyjackers gas ones. The place I ordered didn't have the Bilsteins. These were $70 a piece. Also, the lift is more like 2.5" or 3" according to the shop.

Go to pro comps website and it will tell you te lengths of the shocks for their different lift heights
I'm running their es9000 shocks and have been happy with then

I think top gun customz website gives you shock options by left height as well
