Yesterday I headed over to the Oregon coast to put a few break in miles on the new Ram with it's second engine.

The road over is mostly 2-lanes with passing lanes scattered here and there of varying lengths.

I was fourth in line as we approached a long, uphill passing zone. Up front was a Chevy pickup towing a boat, followed by a Subaru wagon, a Tundra and myself.

The pickup with the boat immediately moved into the right lane, the Subie passed him then pulled over, the Tundra passed them both, then pulled over and I started to pass the Tundra. We still had between a 1/4 & 1/2 mile left before the right lane closed. Just as I pull even with the Tundra the idiot decided to accelerate. I mean...WTF???

:whymewhyme:

I tapped my select shift button and downshifted from 4th to 3rd and stepped on the pedal, letting the 6 point 4 stretch its legs a bit. The owners manual says to do a few hard accelerations with the truck as part of the 500 mile break in period so this was a good time to do that.

I left him like he was anchored to the guardrail. :****sweak:

Maybe next time he should look for some badges before he picks on a Ram, eh?

But we weren't done. I could see him flipping me off in my rear view mirror...second WTF???? Geez...I mean he pulled over. Was I not supposed to pass him? So I put some distance between us, then slowed down to just above the speed limit and kept on.

He caught up with me a bit later, got right on my tail, and so I had to brake check him...which got him even madder. I do not know what his issue was but I decided not to escalate any further. At the next slow vehicle turn out, I pulled over and stopped, letting him go on his merry way.

I just don't understand this guy's behavior at all...

Oh...the new 6 point 4 runs just fine. :)

I've always had the devious thought to install an air compressor and a couple of forward and rearward facing (hidden) paintball guns hooked up to pneumatic actuators. Mark the idiots and douche bags with paint. Around here, there'd be a lot of Chevy Silverados running around with multi-colored paint... lol

So are you saying some of the NJ and Houston drivers have moved to Oregon? Oh NOOOOOOO~~~~ LOL

I was waiting for him to pull in behind me at the slow moving vehicle turn out ... with my trusty .45 in hand ... but he went on past.

What a ****! I agree with ya, the world is full of friggin idiots.

I got a decent brake check story to add as well.
Ok, so we have a highway that runs through town, speed limit is only 35 through that section. I was riding shotgun with my friend driving, we were in the left lane since we were coming up on a turning lane to....you guessed it....make a left. Then this **** ant in his company van came flying up behind us probably doing 65. He got on our bumper and started flashing his headlights and honking at us, never mind that the right lane was completely empty. Apparently, he was so inconvenienced and in such a dang rush that he couldn't be bothered to change lanes, let alone drive anywhere near the speed limit. This immediately pushed my friends F" you!!! button, so he locked up his brakes on this *********. **** rag had to swerve so hard that I swear his van was gonna roll over. He missed hitting us by inches. Then my friend decided to give this guy a taste of his own medicine. So he pulled up on this nitwits bumper and start doing the same crap he tried to pull on us. After he had his fill of that, he pulled along side of this pos then proceeded to cuss the living crap out of him. He must have scared him pretty good, because that guy couldn't have pulled off the road any faster. My buddy never letting things be, decided to swing back around and continue tearing into this guy. Luckily for him he was smart enough to notice that the pickle polisher was on the phone probably calling the cops, so he drove on by.

Hwy 199, 38, or 20? Sounds pretty typical from my days living there. The same mindset that dictates that you can be almost on your own on sections of 1-5 when out of the blue some goof has to come flying up and if you;re in the #1 lane and move to the #2 lane they gotta cut you off to make the very next exit in less than 500 ft.

Driving like that used to start fist fights, now you have to worry about gun fights.

All you guys saying "come to..." should come to Phoenix.

Everybody from all those places with "bad drivers" moves here, so we get an INSANE MIX of all the crazy drivers from everywhere else.

Oh, and not only do we not have any form of vehicle inspection (except MAYBE once when you move here, not always), but you only need to get a driver's license once (if you're 21+), and then it's yours till you're 65 without even so much as another written test. Just update your pic every 11 years.

I love watching California drivers and NY/NJ drivers get into it with each other on our freeways. :D

A set of train horns usually helps the situation out.....
Usually not :) lmao

I was pulling a trailer down the 401 doing 115 kmh in the left lane. There was a bridge thing I was on and it had a corner so I didn't have any room on the left hand side to move over. This loser in his POS van come over a foot into my lane ad I'm passing him. I laid on my train horn and he swerved back over. Then proceed to swear and flip me off like I was in the wrong. There was a car in front of him which he rapidly passed in the far right lane and then came back up beside me. Rolled his window down and started swearing and flipping me off again!

He was a real *************. Which made me glad he got a taste of the train horn even more lol.

being a former Tundra owner - my truck before my current RAM, I have to say, I think the Tundra is the new Douche-mobile. In the 80's it was the Saab, 90's the BMW 3s, 2000's the Audis now it seems to be the Tundras. I know, because, up until This year when I bought my RAM and lost the Tundra, I have a feeling I was a real Douche.

I understand the frustration when someone ****** you off on the road but please do not return the favor.

We had a woman down here that was mad at a guy because his truck flung a rock and hit her car's windshield (Stupid reason to be pissed). Well she brake check him by locking hers up. This resulted a 3 car pileup with the 3rd vehicle being a loaded up flatbed truck. The guy in the middle was killed when the flatbed struck his truck. The lady was charged with vehicular manslaughter because she intentionally caused the wreck by break checking.

Just wanted to show you guys that even getting mad about the littlest of thing while driving can end up very bad.
