Looking into a 6x12 cargo trailer...is it worth it to get a V-nose? Anyone have experience?

I haven’t had any but I would think that v nose would be a little easier on fuel mileage.

Yeah I would think so. I had a 6x12 flat front that I used to tow with my 4.7...but that was a different story now that I have a 5.7. Trying to get one soon for my next PCS.

Yes, at least in the case of my 20' enclosed car hauler. Gives me a little room in the front when I load the 59 Lincoln, which is 18'11"

2016 1500, 5.7 with 392 gears 4X4 Outdoorsman, crew cab. 20' v nose enclosed trailer loaded with a 59 Lincoln Premiere, 4 door. 18'11 long and 5500 pounds. Also hauled my 72 GTO but it was nowhere near as heavy. Weight distribution hitch. 20 miles of interstate outside of Cleveland. Hauled great, no problems. I do plan on buying the Timber Grove air bags to beef up the rear suspension. I've also hauled my stock trailer. I traded a Yukon XL Denali in for this as I needed more towing capacity. This truck does the trick.02 262019 horse trailer III.jpg

Just for the heck of it, I was wondering what the biggest/heaviest things you've towed with your Ram 1500?

I'll start with trailering my Jeep behind the truck. Anywhere more then 100~ miles, I'll trailer the Jeep incase I break something.

P.S. U-haul car haulers don't distribute the weight very well on shorter wheel base vehicles.

I use my truck towing everyday almost. I think the heaviest thing I towed so far was about 11k I have an EcoDiesel. That was in town for the most part. I usually tow around 6500-8000 consistently.

The excavator was probably the heaviest.

It's the only thing I've really pulled. Scrapped my old car. It's a heavy tilt deck trailer too
