whats getting messed up my tranny or gears?

I've been hearing a cracking noise every time i change the gear from park to reverse and reverse to drive and i hear a cracking noise I'm thinking its the gears but others are telling me its the tranny its a 2012 ram 1500 express with 5000 miles on it what can it be??

Who knows, just take it to the dealership. That is what warranties are for.

i hate this....every dealer should have loaners for warranty work.....Not everybody has two vehicles or people that can run them back and forth to a dealer

I would ask to test drive another vehicle or two, and when those vehicles don't make the noise, tell them to fix it!
