my truck wont lock... i click the alarm button it honks but the doors dont lock? i have a sport so it will unlock when i grab the door handle and alarm when i push the button on the handle i did it a few times today while at work and then when i got home i pushed the button on the fob and nothing?

Sounds like a door is open...

I mean that's what happens when a door is ajar. Check to make sure they all closed and nothing impeding the latches.

tried that also, nothing.

update: when i hit the door lock button on the inside of my driver door the only thing that locks is the tailgate.

I would remove the door panel and use a cordless drill battery, Disconnect the lock from the wiring harness and acuate the door lock with the battery. if it locks and unlocks each door like that its whatever controls the system

Is the other fob in the truck. This sounds like behavior as if it trying to prevent keys being locked in.

well i have a bumper to bumper warranty deal for a year and something liek this should be covered i would just take it back to the dealer and have them fix it, it was certified used.

no but i did have the truck detailed just before it started...


so now it seems everything works fine accept for i have to manually lock, and unlock just the drivers door?

Just a guess but can lock settings be changed through the uconnect ? I have no idea.

Go into your settings for door locks.
Can't remember which one off the top of my head, but change the settings, exit, then go back in and change them back to normal.

When I get back to my truck I'll let you know which exact setting it was.

This has happened a few times on mine, and the above fixed the problem.

Do you have the auto door lock setting in Uconnect active? This the feature where you get driving over a specific speed or distance and the doors auto-lock. If enabled, does it work? Usually when the doors lock you can hear the relays clicking down in the driver's footwell area.

Funny, mine refuses to unlock most days. Even with brand new batteries in remote.
