I need to order bass blockers for my infinity kappa perfect 3.5” midranges i bought for my dash. They are 150 hz-10K hz. I cant afford a dsp yet and do not have a crossover, so i will be using my rockford amps crossover. Which freq bass blockers should i buy?
This is my amps high pass specs:

Your amp can cut out 250hz and below. That should be enough.

That blocker is 150hz. Your amp is adjustable from 50 to 250hz set to high pass. No need to add a bass blocker at all.

Your amp has a crossover point adjustable from 50 to 250hz and high pass means you play the high side and low pass the low side so no matter what you do the bass blockers are good for nothing. Coax mids play the full range and the tweeters have a resistor to cut the lows out of the tweeters. I'm not sure how to cut the 10k and up frequency without a dsp, but they'll still sound way better with the low frequency cut out.

Thanks. Im going to use my amps crossover set at 150hz but ai would think they would make a capacitor i could add that will cutoff at 10k hz, but i have not been able to find anything.

My alpine headunit has all kinds of eq adjustments, and 3 sets of rca outputs...sub, front, and rear. But im not sure the built in eq or alpine tune it app will adjust for rca outputs. (Im not too technically proficient on this stuff).

Thanks bud, but i will be powering my midranges with 100 rms each. After some members help, I found my amp will filter out anything below 150 hz, but i need something cheap to filter out above 10K hz.

What you're looking for is a 10k low pass filter. I'm looking, but the wiring diagrams for making them makes my head hurt and I can't find any manufacturers that make them as an off the shelf product.

Here is a list of different capacitor mf ratings based on resistance

Do not overlook bass blockers are a 6db curve. So for a 3.5 Id be in the 500hz range to keep the lows out. Such a shallow slope it will still let some of the lower frequencies in but not into the sub range.

Thanks guys for helping me look for something to keep the highs out. I still cant believe a simple capacitor looking thing isnt available to filter out the highs:think:

Just let them play free on the top end. They aren't going to truly play that high, at least audibly. I would just save your money towards a dsp.

The one I posted above is $5.93 each (you'd need 2) from parts express. meant for 4 ohm speakers and handles up to 250W
