Hello all, new here....

I got a 06 ram 5.7 hemi. The passenger side manifold has a really really bad leak. I'm trying to figure out which headers to get to fix the problem. I don't want anything crazy or real expensive. The truck is my everyday driver, i tow a 4500lbs trailer a few times a year. any suggestions? I'm looking for something i can just swap out with the factory manifold. Was ready to get the BBK but read how the gas ports shapes were not matching. thanks....

do you need to replace the manifolds or maybe just replace the gaskets.

I would like replace the manifold, would like a little more power too. how would i know if all i need is the gaskets?

gotcha. thought if it was just a leak from a gasket vs cracked manifolds or both.

anyhow there is quite a few brands out there and shorties are pretty much plug and play without having to relocate your cats vs long tubes. Not to sure about mids.

I have BBK shorties, direct bolt on to the stock collectors with no welding or modifications. Just get some new OEM gaskets, do NOT use the paper gaskets that are given out with the headers. Ports match up perfectly.

The BBK's are perfect for your 3rd gen. The mis matched port shape was on the 4th gens, but that issue has been corrected now as well.

^^ I agree. Mild Steel doesnt last long without some form of ceramic coating.

Just how much cooler it keeps the pipes was the shock to me. My hand grazed my header after a race and was pretty damn cool to the touch with the coating on them. After that I am sold on it.

I'll have my LTs, Y-Pipe, High-Flow Cats on over the holidays. Can't wait. Can't seem to decide on the cat-back yet.

No need for a catback. Just replace the factory muffler if you still have factory piping after the y.
