Which Strut Top Mount

I'm going to install new struts/springs and plan on buying new strut mounts to preassemble the coilover. This allows for a quicker swap out and lets me bring them to a shop for assembly ahead of the install. Just wondering if there is a preferred brand for those who replaced their strut mounts. I see Moog, Monroe, and KYB at most autoparts sites. I'm interested to know any positive or negative experiences with these brands or other possibilities.

Also depends on what you are trying to accomplish if you’re using Bilstein or eibach you’ll need the spring seat that is on your factory strut. If you’re going with an aftermarket oem height your oem springs will be the best. So regardless you’re still stuck having to use parts from your original set up

I bought the KYB's when I did this, no problems to report and when looking at them next to the OE ones they did not have any apparent deficiencies in visual comparison.

I agree with everyone above. KYB all day. Rock auto has great pricing on them too.

I wouldn't even consider the other names you mentioned on that list, Kyb is in a class of their own in my opinion.

Kyb and Monroe from that list I know sell complete strut towers so you're not using spring compressors to take the old strut towers apart. Along that, KYB still gets my vote.

Thanks for the input! I was leaning toward the KYB since I had some experience many years agon with their struts on another vehicle.

Completely forgot about the spring seat. Maybe I can find a pair lying around.

Even though it's dumb to have to do this, you COULD buy a pair of used take-off OE struts complete from ebay, that gets you the upper mounts and the lower seats (instead of buying KYB's) - then after you do the swap you can sell yours along to the next person.
