Hey guys - anyone running a whipple in here... have you seen a PCV adaptor? I’m looking for a billet or similar hollowed out PCV adaptor that terminates in a AN or barb fitting for putting a breather onto.

I have butchered one myself and its doing the job just fine... but would like a proper fitting if possible.

Thanks

Are you wanting to just have a fitting go into the manifold instead of the pcv valve?

I wouldn’t recommend just puting a breather onto the PCV port. The engine vacuum helps in evacuating crankcase pressure. If I’m understanding you right.

Personally I just the run the PCV valve to a catch can then a one way valve on the hose between the catch can and blower on my whipple truck.

I was getting massive amounts of oil capture into my can (like 4oz in 60 miles). Tried a new PCV valve (did nothing). Changed to a Mighty Mouse can instead which basically rearranges the PCV system and replaces the PCV with that functionality within the can. I still have evacuation of the crank using manifold vacuum. Difference is my PCV is now a breather, the oil fill cap is now my catch can dirty side feed to the can, and the clean side still goes to the intake. This simple change has changed oil capture from massive amounts to next to nothing. For those doubters that are about to pop up :) .... I have done leak down and compression tests and the motor has 3k miles on it. It wasn’t rings - everything is healthy.

Ideally looking for a billet fitting with a barb on the end to run to a breather. This pic kinda shows what i have done using what I had available. Going to make it prettier and use a better filter.

That’s odd you were getting that much in your catch can. I use the Moroso can and empty it usually every 1000km and get around 4-6oz out of it. More if I beat on it a lot.

I dunno how much fresh air you’re going to get past the PCV valve though, since it’s designed to not flow that way. The PCV valve is a pretty coarse thread so I’m not sure if anyone makes a an fitting like that. Might have better luck just drilling out the valve.

I was getting similar to that prior to going blown. Was using a UPR can.

That is exactly what I have done... removed the cap, removed the innards and glued/jubilee clipped a hose/breather onto the end of it. It’s a straight through 3/8th hole - plenty big enough for breather.

From what I understand... believe that someone in the LS community has already done this from billet. Hence the ask... my Google searches haven’t turned up much.

I HIGHLY recommend the Mighty Mouse setup for anyone having similar issues to mine.
