Whistle Noise

I have a 2012 QC Hemi. When I turn the truck off it makes a whistling noise for up to 30 seconds. I called the dealer and he said it has something to do eith the defroster. He said he has seen a few that do that but don't have a fix for it yet. Any ideas?

Hmm I would have guessed something in the AC system. I don't have it on mine quite yet, how loud does it get?

my guess would be there there is a vac leak and its just air leaking in the hvac system

Could be. I have tried it with the heater / air controls off and it still makes the noise. Hope to get it into the dealer this week. The problem is that it won't do it everytime. And it only does it after the vehicle has been running a while. Short trips around town won't make it happen.

I had a similar problem, sounded like the neighbors had a vaccum machine going, really loud whistle, that I could hear at drive trhoughs, and low rpms..
I silved it, by finding the tube/hose that comes out from under the engine cover and connects to the airbox was disconnected. Once I connected it, I have not had the noise. Would really show up when hot out.. was driving me nuts, until I saw that. What ended up being your problem?

Mine ended up being that exact same problem. Reconnected the hose and all is good.

2014 Ram Express , @ 65 mph a whistling noise heard from windshield areas. No cracks visible , window seal tight . Any ideas
