Why 1/2 tons should not have too large of tires.

Also why IFS isn't too good with large tires.

#1 that looks horrible
#2 are the front wheels knock-kneed? It almost looks like the front axle is bent and the top of the wheels are bowed in.

Looks like a case of MONEY>BRAINS - you need to upgrade the weakest links first, then build up to the final component fitment - if you bulk up a truck like that, you build up the front axle and hubs, then suspension, then brakes and finally wheels/tires.

But, if that GM owner is anything like the ones in my area, he has no brain and put all his money in a lift and wheels that don't even fit the look of the ugly truck to begin with with no concern for what WILL fail (especially given GM history of front end issues)...

Yes indeedy! He's out there replacing the hub right now. Said a few days ago he was driving on the freeway doing 80 mph. This dude is out of his mind. He is also an Orthopedic resident at my hospital.

That **** happens all the time.. some city slicker thinks just because he drives his payvement princess only on asphalt that nothing will ever happen. Odly enough they pick the worst platform.. some 1/2 ton with ifs- 8 inches of lift and 35" plus tires, oddly enough a wheel shears off or parts start breaking. Watch when he is leaving after fixing that side the other side snaps.

It appears that it's holding on by the caliper bolts on the spindle. Still don't understand lifted 2WD's and mall crawlers. 80MPH in a truck that high is just asking for trouble... It's also a perfectly good reason why those huge -offset deep dish wheels may look good, but will ultimately end up with this.

That IFS picture looks like a truck being help up by straws stuck in balloons.

Looks like that guy also deserves the A-hole parking job of the week award as well. I guess that is what you get when you try to be an off road poser and lift your truck making it worse as a truck and no real benefit off road over a non-lifted truck. That makes you no different than a Honda Civic ricer with a 12" spoiler that actually makes their vehicle worse for its intended purpose, and is just for looks so he can say "hey look at me"!

Shoot I've hit 110mph on my 35s this spring on a long back country road.

110?! Ur nuts dude. These aren't race cars.

I think the fastest I've gone is 80...maybe 85? With my 37's.

I got the speed thing out of my system with my Srt. Plus, I like my insurance going down not up.
