Hey all, just had a quick question. I ran into a sort of logistical issue with my Wideband 02/AFR setup. I grabbed a Innovate MTX-L. Being used to euro cars I didn't think about the two banks and this setup is only running a single 02 sensor. My issue being that my y-pipe is obviously after my HFC's which is not an ideal place to put a single wideband as it will register a lean condition. I am hesitant to use it only on a single bank due to inaccurate readings as I'd only be taking half the motors exhaust output. Anyone with a blown application have any suggestions? I need rather accurate readings obviously for a daily street mule, but also in order to provide HemiFever proper output to get a good tune since there are little to no good Mopar tuners in Hawaii. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

Yea, I have the LC-2 on my Corvette and I run it in both banks.

Your other option is just to eliminate the cats all together.

If you have the LC-2, which you should, no problem. It's dual band.

Good call, I have run a single LC-1 Before on one of my BMW's but never anything requiring running two. I had picked up the MTX-L which is kind of the baby LC-2. As far as wiring up the LC-2 how did you run it to the ECU and also in order to run them simultaneously did you daisy chain them? This is a bit deeper than I have had to go in previous projects so any insight you could provide on your setup would be really helpful. Thanks!

You don't have to run them to the ECU.

Oh I see what you're talking about.

To pull that off you'll need to calibrate the wideband sensors to work on the same scale as the OEM rear O2 sensors. Not an easy thing to pull off.

On my Vette I just pulled the rear O2 sensors out completely and put the Wideband sensors in their place.

Well looking at what I have to work with, I think I should have done some more research before buying the setup I have. As I want to try to keep the truck as legal (and not smelling absolutely awful) as I can I want to keep a cat onboard, but the catted Kooks Y pipe setup is just not working for what I need. There just isn't a great place to put a wideband, not to mention the collectors are flangeless thus nearly impossible to keep fully leak free I am contemplating ripping out the catted y-pipe, swapping in a test pipe on both banks to the Y-pipe and stuffing a cat on past the Y-pipe in order to accomplish everything I am trying to do without cutting corners. I guess my main concern is will having a big cat that far downstream going to be more of a hindrance than a benefit?

I would avoid doing that. The aftermarket systems are engineered to have minimal resistance from the cats. You'd be better off just monitoring one bank than messing around trying to create your own emissions system.
