Will it fit?

I’m putting a Zone 6.5” suspension lift under my 2015 Ram 2500. I would like to run 37” mud tires but I know there has to be specific dimensions in the rim for it to fit with minimal trimming. Does anyone know what those are? Would I be better off running 35” tires to get a more aggressive look?

Normally 5" backspacing and a 37x12.5 tires for your truck

You can damn near fit 37s on a stock 2500. 37s with a 6” lift will look skateboardish silly in my opinion, but to each their own.

For example, all the aev 2500 trucks you see with 37s (which in my opinion are very proportional) only have a 3” lift in front and 2” in the back.

Unless you are going with a crazy wide 37 and super offset wheel, anything over a 3-4” lift will just look silly imo.

My truck is a 2014 2500, 4.5" Front, 3" Rear. 37x13.50 R20 with a -24 Offset.
the 13.50s made me have to trim a little off the cab corners, but they only slightly rubbed at full turn and only if the suspension was compressed while turning.
My tires poke out about 3 inches from the factory fender. My bushwackers almost cover them. I added mudflaps to help keep the mud off the doors.

See it’s all about offset to clear the tire turning. If @MartyZ didnt have a -24 and had a 0 or +12 offset he could clear his tires all day long. Just wouldn’t look as cool

Right I agree. And the more negative offset you have the more the tire would swing into your fender correct?

So the minor trimming, was it just the lower part of the inside fender well? I’m being finicky on what I do and don’t do. Over-trimming wouldn’t be necessary and not look right imo.

Yes, its just the spot welded seam. You just have to cut it down a bit. Or hammer. Using a cut off wheel was fastest. Throw some primer and paint on it afterwards and put the fender splash guard back on. All together took about 15 minutes.

(You see where the 2 bolts are? continuing on that same seam but into the wheel well is where you want to trim. I went up maybe 2-3" to make sure i eliminated my rub.)

Also some lifts will supply you with the longer radius arms that push your front axle forward. You may not rub at all if you go this route

Well I’m running 37/13.50/20 on 20x12 -51 offset rims on my 1500 with 9” of lift. I had to trim just a touch of the rocker seam. Rubbed at full lock.

I moved the cab back 1 1/4" because I did not want a lift but wanted 37's. Also folded the pinch weld.

Yes I moved the cab back. At first I thought I would need to move the box as well and built enough of the spacers to do that and installed them. If you look at the space between the cab and box there is about 2" of gap. In the end I just moved the cab back and left the box alone. Here is a pic of the spacers on the box which I later removed.
The spacer is bolted to the cab with the stock bolts through a counterbored hole in the spacer. Then new bolts bolt the spacer to the stock holes on the frame giving it a 1 1/4" offset and 1 1/2" body lift. Also had to do a 1 1/2" steering shaft extension.

I’m running a 37/13.50 maxxis razr mt on a 20x10 -24 on my 2016 2500 6.4. I have a 5 1/2” BDS lift and I cleared without trimming and do not rub at all. C2DE7698-CBB2-48D6-8AC8-D31D5156D5AD.jpeg

Props on the ingenuity for that! I gotta say I don’t think that’s something that would have ever crossed my mind if I was trying to stuff 37s!
