I would love to see the 1500 get the 6.4 Hemi, it would be a huge motivator to trade up again. Any speculation as to whether or not this might be an option in the future?

I don't see it happening with cafe standards. The HD are not tested for mpg.

I'll tell you what, if I ever come across a good deal on a complete 6.4L somewhere, I'm gonna jump on it and transplant it. I was just perusing craigslist and found a complete Viper V10 that they wanted 9800 for and it spiked my interest.

Isn't it not that much horsepower and torque difference between the 2 hemis? 395 vs 410? Or with tuning would it be significantly more?

Honestly I don't know the numbers on the 6.4 I just assumed it was much more.

The 6.4 in the 1500 would make a pretty sweet RT

I'm thinking of trying to sneak on into my R/T and just not tell CARB and keep my buddy on its only list of places to smog it... or register it out of state where I can do the swap. but that later on down the road

i doubt any of us have the HD 6.4 in mind... more like the SRT 6.4 with 480HP :naughty:
and this is more what I'm thinking or a a crate from Arrington
