So recently Ive completed a full fitout of sound deadening to my 4th gen and an annoying outcome is that my driver's side window rattles like crazy - it isnt the glass itself, it is the carrier plate and the plastic brackets that clip together to hold the glass in place. For reference, my truck is RHD so my drivers door is actually the RH one.

Ive cleaned and greased the clips and the plates the window runs up and down as it raises and lowers but still getting the annoying rattle. Ive also reset the felt lining along the top of the door panel and still no good.

I'm all out of ideas at this point and ready to drive the car into a river. Anything else I can try?????

To clarify, here's the part that's rattling. It's the plastic holder that travels up and down the rail as the window glass up and down.

Try adding a nut and bolt in the open holes if possible , it may be enough to stop the rattle . it should change the balance .
