Hey Guys. Currently have what is around 5% on the rear three windows. I’ve ran 20% and down to 5% in the front two. Finally had enough of constantly getting a ticket for them that no more. Highly enforced in California. Looking to go with something light in front to keep mainly the heat out, looks are a plus. Something I won’t get hassled about maybe 50% or 35%. Also I have a quad cab if that makes difference. A buddy of mine has a crew cab same color and same percent tint but his looks darker? Also if you have any pics you could share I would appreciate it.
Soooooo, this is probably less help for you but just a story that I wanted to share after reading this....
When I live in California I got pulled over by the highway patrol for pretty much nothing. he said I changed lanes too many times. After he lit me up I immediately roll my two front windows down because I knew it was going to be an issue. He then approached the car and asked me to roll up the front windows. In hindsight I should have told him that they were broken! But I rolled them up and Bam ticket! ********.....

Sorry wasn't trying to hijack your thread but reading your comment just brought me backto that moment. In my opinion leave it stock if you don't want to get pulled over.

:jawdrop: By the way what percent did you have? If anything 70% isn’t noticeable but has the added benefits of tint other than privacy.

If you don’t want tickets... then put the darkest legal tint you can... not sure what else there really is to do.

I think it was 70% but this happened 20 years ago.... If I remember correctly 0 tint is allowed on the front windows. Unless factory which is typically 0 .....

You could always move to a FREE state.

I chose Tennessee, mainly because here, they actually abide by what's in the Constitution.
That said, I see many vehicles here with much darker than stock tint with no issues from LEOs. Here's the law.....

Windshield: Must allow more than 70% of light in; any darkness on AS-1 line.

Front Side windows: Must allow more than 35% of light in.

Back Side windows: Must allow more than 35% of light in.

Rear Window: Must allow more than 35% of light in.
