I’m shopping for a portable magnetic LED light bar that’s rechargeable and at least 700 lumins

example of type

I really like this one. Might not get in tight spaces though.

Cordless or corded?
Portable and rechargeable
I have a few lights and head lamps
I watch some youtube mechanics use the “COB” type
folding lights and realized they seem to work really well
I can’t believe how expensive harborfrieght has become.
I might as well buy Snap-On or Matco.
I was a fan of streamlight but their prices have skyrocketed too.

A folding light-bar with magnetic base and optional hook is what I’m looking for.
The market seems pretty saturated with different lengths and options so price and quality are weighed accordingly in my decision process.

I bought these a year ago. They were cheap and figured I'd try them out. They work good in tight spaces, under the dash etc but the magnetic base isn't the best. My 5 year old uses them all the time to look for frogs and creatures at night. I too am looking for a good work light.

Same here. Got them 6-8 months ago. They are great for the price. I too don't have great luck with the magnetic base on them and i hate having to click the button 3x to shut them fully off and not just to the next setting. I've left the little flashlight mode on, on them multiple times. I'd love a good one, but I'm not willing to throw a ton of money into them given my needs/useage for them. You can drop and break the expensive ones pretty easily too from what I've seen.

Yep lol. That mode got me a few times. Had them for a few months before my son was using it out in the yard and he had the light shining red. Ever since then I carry one in my work car just in case the original alternator craps out (221k miles) and I'm stuck on a backroad with no lights early in the morning. I figure if that ever happens I'll put it on the red strobe and leave it on the trunk. Better then nothing.
