I don't have a pic but I replaced my bulbs the other day. After I took the grille off, I noticed a connector not plugged into anything just under the hood latch. Could this be for adding the active grille shutters if I wanted to? I know of another one on the passenger side above the firewall is for adding a hood light.

They're for your fetzer valve and flux capacitor, respectively.

Looking at your picture there. It was to the left of the hood latch underneath the crossbar and in the wire harness.

Nice response ugh

Its a safety switch for the oem remote start so you can't remote start it with the hood open. Might work with the factory alarm.

It is for the *factory* remote start. In the instructions to install it yourself, it says you replace the hood latch and connect that harness to it so that you can remote start with the hood open. Hope this helps...

and for the record.. if you remote start the vehicle, then opo the hood, it shuts the truck off.

Oh same thing if your kids are inside and they open the door.. then the horn goes off too
