i have always used BILSTEINS and have loved them. no complaints. was intrigued by the rancho set-up and after i read all the reviews i could find on them i decided to go for it.

I just had the rancho quicklift (coilovers) installed on my truck, rears got the 9000xl. I also added the 'myride' remote control for adjusting the shock from soft to firm. since it wll need a couple of days to settle, an appointment for Friday for the alignment is on! my first take

the ride without alignment: no noises or any kind of weird bump, thud or clunk, when braking, accelerating, or turning either way and at full lock. no vibration on quick take offs. locked in 4wd was another pleasant surprise; no vibration! phew! pulls to the left ever so slightly, but that should all be worked out after the front is aligned.

the ride itself, the shocks? luscious! seriously. when i tell you this things rides sweet, i mean it rides SWEET!

set on firm, merging onto the highway on the on-ramp took same corner at same speed, no nose dive, no tilt/roll feel. much more on 'all fours'. better lane change, to say the least...
set on soft, the truck feels smooth and not floaty. excellent steering wheel feel, almost stock. i have tires aired at 36lbs, but will be going up to 40lbs. the soft setting is seriously car-like. small rattles that my truck has, are not as pronounced as before. rides like an escalade (sorry about that, lol).

it lifted truck to about level, but i believe it will probably settle a little. love the look and don't mind if i end up with a 3/4" rake. AS LONG AS THE RAKE IS GOING THE RIGHT WAY! LOL

the 'myride' remote, which is now discontinued. don't know why and don't care, because if this thing works for a few years the way it has so far, it would be well worth it. i cant see myself getting out of my truck to adjust dampening on all fours everytime i change road surfaces. that's why, if it lasts, it will be worth it. IMO. there are already pre set settings on the remote, but will add a custom setting after the alignment is done.

i will update sometime next week and get some pictures, although i am still having trouble uploading pics!

That's great! Don't the Racho coilovers reuse the OEM coilsprings? If they do, I doubt it "settles" any at all.

Sweet, I'm in for pics.

I remember reading about that setup, but I don't know anyone that had tried it yet. I had a Rancho lift on my last truck and had no issues with it.

I really had a woody for the icon shocks and level kit, but it was $2500! I am extremely pleased with this set-up. cant wait for my alignment today. the stock pre set settings are decent, but I want to set a few custom settings as well. I will be takin pictures this weekend, hopefully I will have pics posted by Monday.

I still believe bilsteins are a great shock, but the adjustability of the ranchos hooked me. will keep you all updated on the ride and if things change in the very near future.

Rancho makes a very nice product, and their coil over systems come with new shocks they do not re use the factory shocks, anyone looking for a great deal on these Ranchos let us know we would be more than happy to get a set out to you :)

Thanks

very happy

so far, so good. it has settled. it creaked and cracked a couple of times the first couple days. hasn't since. definetly the coils getting there stance and settling. like it set on off road. smooth and not too sloppy for quick turns, lane changes, pavement, etc. couple of pics.
