I really like those pods, but size might be an issue. These L1s are pretty big...

I'll let Brad get his in and see what he thinks. They are almost twice the size of the hertz.

The L1 pros are only .08" bigger than the original L1s I'm running at the moment. I may just be able to grind out a little of the pods I have now and make them work. Will keep you all posted

But I think ur aluminum L1s in those aluminum pods would look sick.

I'll have to try and find dimensions on them, they ship from China and they aren't very detailed in their description...

That's tough, the description in the pods says 2.4" high and the L1 is 2.2" but.... Is that the height with the stand? Height of the pod itself? Height of the opening?

Damn Hong Kong, help us shiwwy Amewicans out. I'd at least try to contact them and see what info you can get, if any.

Confusing huh. I had the converter open inches to millimeters and I was trying figure it out...

It is so rare that I get something right the first time, that when I do, I feel like this: :pepper:

This is not one of those times...

BTW, I just pulled my headlight and fixed a BAD condensation issue. Kinda happy aboat that.

First there was one big box, inside were to smaller boxes, inside each small box was another box and then a 4th box.
Inside the 4th box was some cardboard and packaging and then a 12" black thing! Damn, Nick likes boxes! ;)

(Sorry honey, it's not what I promised you for Christmas, it's a different 12" black thing, lmao!)

:banana-mario::pepper:

In the interest of getting this equipment installed asap, so I can get it tuned by BigRed, I bought two well made but cheap enclosures, the nice custom one (s) will have to wait... :(

The boxes I got are actually for 10" subs, but according to my calculations: If I cut them to fit the 12" I will have approx .50-.55 cu.ft. (that includes the .05 that the woofer itself takes up.
SI recommends between .5 and .6.

It's simple really...

View attachment 40452

With two SI subs, wired like above, the amp will see a 1 ohm load and put out more power. What is the 1 ohm power rating of your amp? The SI subs really don't like a ton of power.

RMS Power @ 1 Ohm : 1,385 Watts x 1 Channel
RMS Power @ 2 Ohms : 872 Watts x 1 Channel
RMS Power @ 4 Ohms : 488 Watts x 1 Channel
RMS Power @ 2 Ohms (Strapped) : 2,770 Watts x 1 Channel

Plenty of power just keep gains down like down down.

Just to confirm, should I wire the BMs to 1 ohm like the picture???
