Below is a quote from SIs website:

"Does the BMmkIV need 450 watts to perform?

Absolutely not! The new BMmkIV is a very efficient subwoofer thanks in part to its XBL^2 enabled motor and it does not need every bit of its power handling limit in order to perform well. In its recommended enclosure volume of 0.5^3 sealed, the BMmkIV’s ideal power range is 200 to 350 watts.

What is the frequency response?

Typical in-car frequency response is 20 Hz to 500 Hz.
"

All that being said, shouldn't I run the subs at maybe 2 ohm?? Is that possible??

Here are the amps specs again:

4 ohms: 488 watts x 1 chan.
2 ohms: 872 watts x 1 chan.
1 ohms: 1385 watts x 1 chan.

Id run 2 ohm, isn't that the pic u sent a few min ago? Mine will be getting 380 watts each at 8 ohm. This is one of the subs that won't benefit from just dumping gobs of power to it.

After an hour of reading and searching for diagrams, I think this the right way.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I am trying to run at 2 ohm.

Here is a diagram I made:

That's 2- 2ohm loads going to a mono amp which equates to 1ohm. Looks like your only ootions are 1 and 4 ohms

Edit: is that mono amp ur running?

Another edit: you put sk1200.4 in ur diagram. Thought u were running a 4 channel for a sec. That threw me off. 1 and 2 ohm are your options

Now I am even more confused, lol! I have the Sk1200.1D, that is the amp in the diagram. I don't know why it has two sets of connectors.

This is what threw me off...

The .4 after sk1200 usually indicates a 4 channel amp. U have a 1 channel. The 2 sets of terminals is just for ease of installation when running 1 or more subs. If u hook both subs into the right + and - or left + and - or mix and match, it won't make any difference. They all sum into 1 channel.

I would prob run it at 1 ohm and just leave the gains and levels in the DSP down a good bit

Sorry, that was a typo... fixed. :)

If wired the way the diagram is, would it not make it 2 ohm??

Honestly, I am a little nervous after how much Nick warned me about these subs, I definitely don't want to send too much power to them...

The way ur diagram goes, it would make 1 sub run at 2 ohms. With 2 subs, wired like in your diagram, it would be a 1 ohm load
