Sorta hard to visualize it without seeing exactly where you're trying to put it behind the grill.

My only thoughts is with only 2 mounting points, and those brackets being pretty tall, you're going to have vibration issues. That was why I actually had to redo my mounts to secure to the radiator core support both top and bottom.

It's set up for lightbar at top I figure about 3.75 down drill second set of holes. So if large bar is at middle can mount smaller ones at top

I'm looking to get a 40-42 inch curved light bar for my front bumper. How many watts is yall's light bar? I'm looking to get one off of eBay. Also I purchased a rocker switch off of amazon and most of the light bars I see on eBay have the one with the switch built in. I don't like that switch. Is there a wire harness yall can recommend that is the right wattage for the light bar and the switch. I just want to do every properly and not screw anything up. When it comes to wiring lights, I'm clueless.
I bought a 32" light bar, 4 led pods and 3 heavy duty wiring Harnesses off Amazon when I was going to put them on my 06. Ended up selling them when I traded the truck in, as I hadn't put them on yet.

Anyways, the harnesses I bought were amazing quality. Huge thick wiring, protected wiring, built in relay, built in Inline Fuse, awesome led lit Rocker Switch etc. They only cost $18 shipped. These Harnesses are worth so much more the the $18 they cost. Just the parts alone from Pep Boy's or an auto store would be $30- $40. These are only $18 shipped and everything is already wired up and protected.

I HIGHLY recommend these harnesses. Even though I did not use them, I could just tell by holding them and looking at them that they are high quality.

Also here are a few other electronics you might want to use when installing led bars and pods.

I usually just go to Lowe's or Home Depot. Buy some steel brackets or just some flat bar steel and make my own mounts. I paint them of course but my coat is minimal and I can pretty much make whatever i need without having to follow someone else's spec. Just like that route a little more personally. I understand not everyone feels comfortable making or fabricating things like this but I think it's pretty easy. I cannot weld. I am just working with my cutoff wheel vice and drill. Here are some examples of materials I used.4cac1650a61cf5791c57dc8dddb9fa78.jpg458d67d4d875d087ff48439f3f5b696f.jpg

I think the brackets you have will flex both side to side and for and back at that height with a light bar. It doesn't take very much wiggle to make a light unbearable to use

Mine are made of plate, flat bar, and angle iron. The angle iron works well as it stiffens and supports in all 3 axis. The biggest thing though is to anchor it top and bottom.

Thanks. Like you I used pretty common tools. a sawzall, drill and cut-off wheel. No welding.

Got my 42" curved lightbar installed this weekend, I love it! I used the same wiring harness that OnSale mentioned above, excellent quality. They're only $13.99 shipped on ebay FYI. Total investment was $78, should've done this a long time ago.

So I don't have the ability to make or fab mounts and the shop that I'm having it installed are bit ****** about this. So I need to know what mounts are readily available.
