Several years ago when I was shopping for a 3rd gen I found a nearly new one on CL that was obviously a great truck. When I called and talked to the older gentleman who had it for sale he told me there were some premium extras he added to the truck that he wanted to go over in person. I chuckled a little on the inside when I went to see the truck and his "extras" included the bed stake pocket tie downs, a k&n filter, and Bosch Icon wipers. Mind you there was no mention of the quality brand name spray in bed liner or like new Toyo AT's he just bought at the local premium chain tire store to replace the crappy stock tires.

Fast forward to present time. After a couple years I replaced the Bosch icons with some other "premium" wiper and sold the truck. I put other "premium" wipers on my new Gen 4 RAM as well as my wife's car.

Long story short, nothing compared to the Bosch Icons and that is what I went back to on my new truck and will be putting on my wife's car when time to replace. I doubt I'll ever buy anything other than in the future unless PIAA brings back their silicone blades at a reasonable price. Those at the very top of my best of all time wipers.

Totally off topic but how crazy is it that I wrote the above post this morning and earlier tonight while driving through a part of north Portland I rarely visit, over an hour from home, I spotted this blue truck out of the corner of my eye and knew it had to be my old truck. Double backed and got up close and verified that it was it. When I sold it almost 4 years ago it had the stock 20's and it appears he removed the retro shop retro'd projector housings but there are some minor very unique things I did to this truck that were all still there.

Buy cheap ones and replace them every 6 months. UV doesn't care how much you spend on a wiper blade,it still attacks them all.Isn't a wiper blade made now-a-days that uses real rubber anymore,so you're best bet is to replace them every 6 months.

I have a year old set of Bosch Icons on my old Ram that are just now beginning to streak a little so uh, I’ll stay away from cheap blades...[emoji41]

You get what you pay for.

I used to use the Icons as well but we started carrying the Trico Ultra which I have been much happier with. I have them on my truck, wife's van and son's Dart.

I’ve had good luck with Trico Force but I don’t think they last as long as the icons, tho.

Not sure but mine are a 1 1/2 old and still work great, just can't complain about them at all.

Ha ha weird, I saw my 3rd gen a few months ago on the freeway. Same thing, a few custom touches that I had added than no one else would of known, first dead giveaway was the ram head on the tailgate, it’s an 03 and they didn’t start that till 06 I believe.

As far as wipers, I always seem to get good luck out of the OE wipers. I actually bought replacement OEM wipers for my Journey, the factory ones lasted 2-3 years. Other than that my older cars I used to just pick up the Michelin/Goodyear’s at Costco when they went on sale for $5. Used to get a winter season out of them.

Picked up a pair of Icons today for under $38 on advanceautoparts.com. They have 25% deal, and free shipping on orders over $25.

Bosch Icons here, too. I have them on my 07 Dodge Ram and my SUV.

I have been very surprised with the stock blades, they work exceptionally well. At $14.95 each online I’ll buy em again over $50 blades any day.

Another vote for Bosch Icons.
I had a PT job at Autozone (work because of the discount for doing side work), I tried them all and if they didn’t work that great I returned them. Never return the Icons.

I bought the Bosch Icons. They are good but the OEM's I had worked just as well. One thing I did not like about the Bosch is they are noticeably shorter then the OEM. Had to double check to make sure I got the right length (and I did) they are just not as long and there is a small gap in coverage vs the OEM's I had

I like the Bosch as well. All of the local Wal-Mart's are getting rid of them & not stocking them anymore for some reason. Just like about everything, none of them last like they used to. I remember when the silicone first came out, those things would last 2-3 years. Rarely do I get 2 seasons out of any of them now.
Oh & OP you can get by going up a size to 24"
