**** it, run what works, I’m not brand loyal, but after 1500 HARD miles on Amsoil SS 0w-40 my 6.4 is quiet as all get out, the wife’s Durango with SS 5w-30 is still quiet after 17,000 miles with Amsoil in it. So I’m not changing **** till I have an issue.

If redline works great, then use that, if it doesn’t, don’t. Same for Amsoil or any other **** your pour out a bottle.

As for me I still don’t know which cover I’m getting, but since Amsoil has worked well in my engines I’m going to give it a shot in the differentials and transmission, and if it ***** the bed, I’ll change it up.

Damnit.......now I need more [emoji482]

Anything over 75k miles is considered high mileage for oil hamster.

Jeff: Amsoil SVG is as good as it gets when it comes to gear oil.
I’m just not a fan of paying to be a PC & still have to pay Tax & Shipping.

I Can get RL cheaper.

Troll? Pointing out your uneducated gibberish is hardly trolling. For some reason, some people around here actually listen to it. If the baby is ugly, call it ugly. You're obviously not man enough to admit when you are wrong, so I had to point it out for for everyone to see. You're welcome. Troll that.

For what it's worth Jeff, I like the second one in that video. Only downside was capacity, maybe towing heavy you would pick a different one.

Its all good, this is the last place I can come and not have to deal with people ******* arguing over politics or other stupid ****, so I get defensive of my “sanctuary”.

I just think everyone has good things to bring to the table and can offer something valid.

Wow. Really? That seems a bit extreme. Here's the stuff I was planning to use. No good, huh?7dcd55c31c9a4ead4387534a7c806f20.jpg

So the difference between that one and the non synthetic is they put an additive package in if I remember correctly. give me 1 sec. Viscosity at operating temp of that oil you have in your hand is 45. 5w20 visc is 9, 5w30 is 12, 5w40 is like 15, so how thick do you think that is? The purer way to raise visc is to buy thicker oil in the first place, like 5w30.

Gnarly. I'm no mechanic, but I am a sponge for info... especially when the topic interests me. I do have a couple of mechanic friends who swear by this stuff though. Admittedly, they live in Mass where it gets much colder. I bought it, and I hate to waste it. Perhaps my wife's CR-V would be a good recipient?

Definitely not, lol. Tighter tolerances and more inner parts in newer vehicles just don't play well. No doubt it will quiet them down, but like I said we had a guy add that and had a cam fail and his oil was like jello. Now, we do have people that use it here, and I would say it would be better in a hemi then a civic, but older engines like muscle cars are more forgiving to that type of stuff. I hope I can find that thread. When you used it in your gmc how was the oil when you changed it?

Oil was always clean. My philosophy has always been it's never too early to change fluids
