Didn’t think this topic warranted a new thread so I’ll ask here.

I’m trying to remember why I had to do this to my truck but I know it was pertinent. Around beginning of the warm months I did a heater core flush, which was kind of a pain since I couldn’t seem to get the new fluids to circulate afterward. After more back and forth flushing everything seemed to have returned to normal until this morning driving to the shop. Normally once I’m on the highway, even in freezing temps like this morning, I keep the heat at level 1 fan on floor and defrost and it’s always gotten very toasty. Today I kept it at 2 the whole way and was still a little chilly. Eventually parked and switched to “face” vent selection and the air coming out was barely warm, very unusual. Engine temp is right at where it’s been for the past 13 years, not sure if I ever replaced the t-stat.

I’m thinking I might need to do another heater core flush but don’t know if it’s worth trying. Any ideas? I really liked my heat the way it used to be and it wasn’t that cold this morning, only 31*.

Coolant levels or dirty coolant can cause no/low heat, how olds the coolant or have you ever flushed the system?

Leak in the cooling system is another possibility or air stuck in it

Bet it’s air, now that you say that. All new fluids. Worth checking hoses for leaks and doing a better job flushing. Thanks for the insight man.

Like ramportin said, probably trapped air, sometimes it’s a pita to purge all of it out. I usually park facing uphill to help rid the air.

Swapped out my aftermarket 3rd for this factory one I just finished painting and 0ut in some bright LED's. Not sure which look I like better honestly but this factory one with the LED's works WAY better for when I'm loading my bikes up at night so its staying..... And the fenders...

Shaved the antenna, fixed some small dings, and did some teal-metallic Ghost-ish flames, i wanted more of a ghost look to em but i got a little heavy on the spray, but its all ok, this is a hold me over paintjob, around april when it warms up i plan on a full custom paint job for the whole truck and when that happens these flames will be erased...

Ordered some LED fogs and headlights. Haven’t really done much lately besides fixing my A-pillar finally.

You do great work brother! Wish I had the patience and skill for it but unfortunately I do not lol, body work is soo expensive! I got a 600$ quote just for my tailgate that has some bondo cracking as I’ve recently discovered.

If the bodyfiller is cracking then it would be cheaper to replace the tailgate, trying to fix bad bodywork is not fun, thats why you got the high estimate

The problem with getting a new one is that the tailgate is lined, so by the time I buy, paint and line a new gate, it’ll be more than the quoted price so I’m not sure witch way I’m going to go, plus the liner will be mismatched from the rest of the bed. Unless they can match it somehow.

You will have to just accept the liner being different, thats what i had to do with mine when i redid my tailgate, but one thing i did was use harsh chemicals to wipe it with to help it fade faster...

You can see the bedliner on the tailgate was much darker, now its pretty close to matching...

Hauled home my new mower/tractor I got for 50% off thanks to Sears closing. Couldn't resist the price cuts, got a handful of large wrenches that I needed and stubby ratchet wrenches all for less than 25 bucks! Now gotta polish this mower up [emoji23]87550b7a1399909b221aa54d39e5ec81.jpg6a61fc34a7c7043d274b73a1bffdd7f5.jpg
