Congrats on a beautiful truck. I still have my 14 black express and was wondering how many miles yours had on trade in.

I swear you wrote in your post about your build that you did get chrome with the PW.
I am second guessing now though as everyone said you can't. I am more then likely going to call other dealers

So you paid cash for a new order truck...got conflicting info days ago that a power wagon can’t come with panoramic sunroof, a bunch of chrome, air suspension etc. and you haven’t gotten a definitive answer from the place you’re spending this $70,000+ cash yet?

Just saying I’d have called them ASAP and gotten my answer which I think we all know is that the PW can’t come with those options.

He keeps telling me everything is correct. He did clarify that the "chrome package" means that he is going to swap the grill and bumper

But can he swap the bumper when the PW has provisions for the winch and none of the others do?

That still doesn’t explain pano sunroof or air suspension of which the PW doesn’t have. Seems very fishy to me.

I may be working but the new bumper looks like it will accept the winch

Sweet looking trucks! I personally like the Chrome and am upset you can't get the chrome on the PW. Hopefully you guys enjoy them!
Thank you.
The chrome looks good on this truck. I think three is less of it now than there was in prior years.
Chrome is more forgiving than color match, off road.

You are welcome. I don't know if there is more or less but I think there is just enough.

Congrats on the new truck. I have 3500 miles on mine and I think it's the best truck I've ever owned.

As you the question of height, mine is a Plaines Tradesman without an Off-road package. I think it is as tall as my 2016 PW. It is very tall.

Barncat, you stated that the Tradesman doesn't come with the "floor coolers/storage". Can you tell if the cut outs are already there on your truck? Would it possibly be an easy add on? Cut the vinyl, punch out the floor, drop in the storage lockers?

Yeah, I came from a 14 Ram Express "Black Edition" factory debadged etc. So tis is a shift for sure. I live on gravel and decided I'd rather clean the chrome wheels.
Plus it matches my indian
Is that a Cherokee Indian?? Lol

Yeah, I think the Ram's are just tall. I also don't have (or want) steps/running boards, so that is a contributor)

I haven't looked up at the floor pans but If I think about it, I will try to do so tonight. I can't imagine it's a different stamping. I was a little bummed at first, but my wife has them in her Journey and we've never used them.

Congrats on the new truck. I've been running Ram 2500's with a CTD since 2003. One thing I have learned in those 16 years is that Ram tends to put crappy tires on these 2500's from the factory. Every 2500 that I bought had terrible grip whether on-road, off-road, wet pavement, dry pavement or snow. My local mechanic pointed me to some flavor of Cooper AT3 truck tires since 2003 and I have not regretted switching over.

My current truck is a 2017 2500 CTD Big Horn with some additions. I made the mistake of going to visit the in-laws in Ohio shortly after getting the new truck, but before replacing the crappy Transforce tires that it came with...........................and I promptly got stuck to the point that 4 WD wouldn't pull me out and I had to have my BIL pull we out with his truck. I immediately got a set of Cooper AT3 XLT's and solved that problem. I now go through the same areas in 2 WD without getting stuck. Even my wet pavement/slick pavement performance is vastly better.
