@FF1899 You ever get a chance to do the swap and compare ? I myself still haven't heard back from Eibach after they hit me up and I provided them the measurements of the springs I received. If they match your initial set I'll be demanding replacements before I bother installing for sure.

New springs installed and just for the hell of it I went to the 3rd notch up while I was in there. Brought the truck up to 41.5 in the front and the back to 43 (zone 3 inch rear lift) the CV angles are a little steep but not as bad as i expected. The ride is actually great for my test it is firm and handles well but not bouncy or rough. I am getting the high angle cv's anyway so that will hopefully keep that issue at bay but will update with more miles on it.

Brave man............ with the math the 3rd ring should provide 4 1/4" which is right about where you are. On mine at 3.5" I was cringing when I hit big pot holes or train tracks. I did love the firm planted ride on the highway and the tight suspension, but my cheap mud tires where not helping my situation. I'm glad you got it straitened out

Did you measure the spring that you swapped out?

I didt take it in any dirt but bombed some back roads and I'm very happy with it. Pic tomorrow in the sun light. Like I said I'll give it some miles and go from there. Also tomorrow I will measure the ones that came out but here's a pic to compare 20190422_161926.jpg

The difference in spring height is substantial in the pic. You said the part number was the same? Or is there a difference in spring part number?

For the fun measurements, with the truck level measure the gap between fender edge down to the upper edge of your tire. Then jack the front with wheels in the air and measure the tire/fender gap again. Let’s see how much down travel you have left.

Just a few quick pix before the rain hit to give you guys an idea. So far the ride I can say I love. The handling is great ride smooth and the shock of bumps is minimal compared to the stock with spacers I had before. Extremely happy with it. CV angle is a little much but new axles will solve that problem 20190423_143552.jpg 20190423_143531.jpg 20190423_143615.jpg

Man that looks good!! I think you’ve convinced me to go the Eibach route, if they can ever get their act together on shipping the kits. What new CVs are you going with? You’re running 35s, right?

I'm waiting to see the down travel numbers. Curious to see what they're my guess, 1" tops, but it might be less if any..

Its actually almost 2 exactly. If it was less then 1 there wouldn't even be a point of having a spring might as well have welded up the strut and saved my money.

It is eibach in the front and a zone 3 inch box kit in the back with icon 2.0 shocks. I like having a slight rake. And actually I have a whole other box kit if you wanted to do the same I would sell. The shipping is just the killer but would still be cheaper then buying it. Has a panhard bar relocation bracket and lower control arm relocation brackets longer sway bar links bump stops brake line relocation brackets and everything even all the hardware 20190328_103106.jpg

We have about 6" travel total from full bump to max droop with the sway bar connected. about 8" with the sway bar disconnected. droop seems to remain the same without the sway bar, but your gains come when the suspension tucks in all the way. if you have about 2" left you should be ok, and that also means the Eibach struts are about 1" longer than Bisteins for example. prob why Eibach says is ok to run their stuff at 3.5" with a heavy bumper.

3.5 without a heavy bumper next groove that I'm at with a bumper. I'm not try to sell eibach or change anyones mind just trying stuff out and giving feedback. You are preaching to the choir with suspension info I have been a mechanic for years and built many many cars for myself not trying to be cheap either just doing different to see what options other people have if they choose because no one has done it yet. For the cost I have into everything I could have dropped a zone 6 inch in and been done. I chose to experiment with newer items to gain the information everyone is asking for and save headaches for people later. I appreciate everyone's input and the knowledge here is overwhelming I am just trying to add and do my part to help in return and was actually surprised with the outcome and how much I like the ride.

I will add this is definitely not an off road suspension by any means. If you plan on doing more then back roads or field farm driving this isn't for you. If you want a smooth but very well tight handling truck you will be happy. It honestly handles and stuffs turns better then some cars I have done. Like i said it was a good surprise!

Did you ever get around to measuring the old spring that came off which didn't perform as advertised. Still haven't installed mine and curious to see if it measures the same.
