Driver's side mirror on 2012 installed this morning. Cost zero dollars. Happy that it's done. Priceless.

View attachment 171173 Added a retrax finally!!!

I sure hope yours don’t start leaking. I know I’m getting water in around the tailgate especially up on top of the tailgate which is to be expected but the leaking I’m concerned with is along the tracks in rails where the tonneau slides inside of. I’ve adjusted it as tight as I can to where the threads on the plastic adjustable shims are almost bottomed out.

Guess I’m gonna have to give Retrax a call.

@Michael , i like the Pioneer too. did you swap it out yourself? was it plug and play or did you have to buy a special harness? on a 1 to 5 scale, how hard to change out?

I did install it myself. I bought it from critchfields and I paid a little extra for them to wire up a harness. That made it plug and play. I figure the convenience was worth the charge for the harness. The hardest part was swapping the usb board in the console for the new one. The rest was easy.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas

good to know! so then you could just plug and play the wiring I assume? and mine is 2018 so i have the right usb panel is my understanding. i might have to go this route. seems the simplest. adds more power, my main goal, but also the app stuff. i would just have to get the android version as i assume yours is apply carplay only from what i saw from the specs.

Built myself an adjustable trackbar with 1.5” .250 wall dom tubing. she’s a heavy gal, about 10x the weight of the oem toothpick. Also threw some 1.5 spacers on top of the 1.5 icon coils to get some rake back. Once the next order of heims come in I’ll be building some +1/1.5” adjustable sway links.

Emissions compliant tune. So glad I did this. Small tweaks really woke the truck up. Power and mpg= win win for me. Tires will be next. 69c6f6af9286c126330cdde1dcf3786b.jpg

Fought with my spare tire. Seeing if the tire is responsible for my vibration after it’s been balanced again. So threw my brand new spare on. Old one has ya know. A chunk or two out of it

Rocks can be a little hard on tires :)
Have you thought of getting a new set of tires ?
If you get Copper STT pro, Nitto Terra Grappler MT,Mickey Thompson MTZ P3 or Toyo MT's they will fare 100% better. I can vouch for the Nitto's, yes they're heavy, yes they're expensive but they're nearly indestructible when it comes to ruggedness in any offroad environment.

Massaged my tune last week and got to try it on a 400 miles trip to Arizona. MPG was not bad considering an extra 800lbs of weight with the family and gear onboard, 315 tires, 3.92's and full 8 cyl as i have the cyl deactivation crap turned off since day 1

This is what makes it tough Hodge, that's not a bad price for damn Toyo tires, though i'm still waiting to see if the STT pro or BFG KO2's go down in price :)
