I got the 2018 UAQ file. Let me boot up my home computer and see if I can figure how to upload it. So nice to have my sound quality back.

Here it is. Download it to your hard drive then unzip it to a blank USB drive and follow the instructions in the TSB.

Note: when I got to step 14, I turned the key from Ign to Acc instead of off like it says in the TSB. It worked and I could see the process. It took about 20 minutes like it said. I did put a trickle charger on it just to be safe. If you don't want to sit in your truck the full 20 minutes, exit during the two minute count down in step 14.

Hope it works for you all. It's has been a long wait.

Worked for me, I was able to turn my bass back up to +2 from the -6 it was on. It sounds so much better now I'll report back about the voice volume levels after my drive to work tomorrow. Thanks again mjockey!

Ha, ya I lucked out the right tech walked by while the service advisor was saying I don’t think we can do that. He show the tech the TSB ( I had the whole file this time) and the tech said it customer preference. 20 minutes later I had the file.

I sure hope not. OTA updates are wreaking havoc on our RA4 brethren. Failed updates, bricked radios, dealers unable to get new radios, etc. It is a total Charlie Foxtrot. The TSB gives a clue why FCA wants to do OTA updates, so they don't have to pay the dealers 0.2 hrs to create the drive and 0.5 hrs to check the version / update software per vehicle.

Yea, the file has "MY18" in the name, figured it would only work on 2018 radios.

After the **** at the dealership wouldn't help me, i called Uconnect to see if they would help me. Of course the idea of putting a UAQ in a 2015 truck was pure blasphemy to them as well, so they wouldn't help me either, but the guy did mention everyone was supposed to get this updated OTA by November 4th.

Honestly i'm glad i got it Via a direct USB update then trust the OTA network.

On another note, the system voice volume is much more tolerable, it still defaults to volume level 15, but it's much more reasonable and not booming at me, however now it sounds like the voice is coming over AM radio lol, which i don't care i can still understand what it's saying it's just not as clear. I still turned the volume down to 5, so i'll see when i go on lunch if it resets to 15 or stays at 5.

I was able to update a uas from a 2019 ram classic with a 18 file but the radio manufacturer date was dec 18.so do not know if it's because it's from Canada or the manufacturer date or a combo.

Im sure this is not surprising at all, but the only radios that need that update are RA3/RA4 (VP3/VP4).

The UAx series are not affected by the same "GPS bug" AFAIK.

So basically UConnect had no idea what they were talking about....as always.
