I ran my wires through the grommet that the shifter cable goes through, I was going to run it through the larger main wiring harness above that, but they use a double wall grommet that is hard to get through

Making progress on the harness, need to do some crawling around to figure out the final routing and lengths. Once I get the length figured out, I'll wrap and terminate the BCM, PDC, and CAN connections. A little less mobile after hand surgery, so it's moving a bit slower than I would like.

On another note, got a right tail light. Still on the hunt for a left.a4b78383437c360a771554b9e2b83ab9.jpg

All good! Pin 8 on the driver side tail light connector does not get grounded. No need to take the sensor out.
Hi jimmy just a quick question for you .
So de we need to ground pin 8 on passenger side but not drivers side or both sides etc ?
The pic you drew shows it being connected .
The repair kit shows that being a ground wire .
Not sure if I need the ground those wires or not ?
Cheers

The right side pin 8 gets grounded, the left pin 8 does not

Made some good progress on the harness. Moving slowly after hand surgery, so crawling around under the truck wasn't very fun.

On another note, the PDC pins C5 16 and 35 (LEFT / RIGHT BLIND SPOT INDICATOR DRIVER) do not provide power when the truck is running. Tried with the blind spot disabled and enabled. Guessing this will go hot when there is someone in the blind spot.

Plan B is to use C6 Pin 24 (FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN-ACC)) for power for the modules. If all else fails, I will tap C7 Pin 13 (RUN RELAY CONTROL) which is circuit F923 and that powers the rear view camera and park assist. Maybe I will revise my harness at some point but this will be fine for the time being. Outside of using more wire to run to the front of the truck to tap in at the PDC vs the rear connector it doesn't make much of a difference since I have to run the wires to the BCM regardless.

EDIT: Harness is complete and wrapped. Need to terminate the BCM pins but I'll take care of those when I do the install.d9dd5ffd5665e9be2ffb57c36f1f0c26.jpg

Which ones are you looking for specifically? Pins to door module? STAR CAN connectors? PM me, I ordered some extras.

I got everything wired up, I have some temporary led indicators in the mirrors for my blind spot lights, and everything is working properly, I took it for a drive and the lights are coming on when a car is in the blind spot, I have two tones through the speakers when I turn on the turn signal while the indicator is on. The radio audio drops out, and comes back just like it does with the park sensors, I think the tone may be slightly different. I have the mirror glass ordered and once I confirm everything fits I'll post the part numbers.

So I purchased a couple of sets of mirrors with blind spot. It turns out for sure the 2019 1500 mirrors do not fit. I did however purchase a set from a 2019 2500 with blind spot, camera, power fold etc. Does any one know the pin configuration on the 2019 tow mirror models so I can attempt to rein to fit my 2018 ram 2500 laramie? I tried to figure it out using the pigtail website, but was a little confused. Hopefully I can get that working along with the 360 camera and outer tow mirror to be adjusted electronically.

It’ll be easiest if you go on here- http://connectors.dcctools.com/home.htm#photo And write down the functions and connector/pin locations for both a 2019 2500 and your 2018. Then, start repinning the connectors.
Couple things to note:
If you keep your door modules, you will only gain the blind spot lamp function from the new mirrors. Your current door modules don’t have outputs for the convex mirror adjustment, turn signals as park lamps, or the trailer spotter lamps. EVEN IF you got the 2019 2500 door modules that support all those features, there’s no way to enable them (currently). They would all have to be added under the doors configuration list in AlfaOBD. If it was me, I’d just get the 2019 door modules, see if they work, and hope there’s a way to add those features with AlfaOBD in the future.

As far as the 360 view camera goes, I doubt that one can work. That means you also need the forward camera and the central vision processing module. Then, if you can even get the CVP module online with AlfaOBD, you would need the 12” or 8.4” radio from a 2019 to display it, and we already know the 8.4 radio from a 2019 won’t work in the pre-2019s.

I'm using a couple of amber LEDs in a chrome metal holder for the time being but I also have the beige/brown interior so it matches a little better.

I'm not drilling any holes just yet on the off chance I can get 2019 HD mirror glass or I find LEDs I like more.
