If you got a Christmas Bonus and you set aside $10,000 to modify your Power Wagon and it was completely stock but a loaded 19, what would you do?

10k goes quick so keep that in mind and don’t go over budget. For sake of the thread relevance, it needs to be a PW
I will go first:

37” tires $1500
Sliders $1200
DiamondBack cover with headache rack $2350
Switch Pro $550

Lights:
Vision X plus hood mount $450
Bull bar and VisionX (2 pair) $1100
Ridged rear lights $200
Rock light $175

Tazer $300
Pedal commander $250

few dollars left over.

Added: air bags and onboard air, are now on the list as well.

If RAM would ever get the stuff from the Macho Powerwagon concept, I would start there.

https://moparinsiders.com/inside-design-ram-macho-power-wagon-concept/

okay so the rack on this truck is
2k
porting the exhaust out the side or duel out the rear $1400
Wheels and tires $2500
Bumpers $3500
Lift $2,000-3,000
Shocks $1200
Front skid ~$750
The hood?? I have no idea the cost
yeah pretty sweet looking truck after those mods.
The interior will take some coin and you ran out. So you will have to they first if it intrigues you.

I would ditch the cover and headache rack in favor of new gearing. Your probably going to want it going to 37's.

.
True probably a wash between the 2 of them. I forgot to mention the fancy built-in light bar on the roof that’s going cost some coin too.

I would start with a Tradesman with Powerwagon package.

Take the extra savings over the Powerwagon and open account for travel and put it there.

Then the 10k bonus I would get 35 inch tires, the Macho bumper, the RamRak, the setup on the roof, and the hood. Put on some sliders and take the leftover money and put it into a fuel fund.

Sell everything I own except for my kayak, bike, hiking equipment, and camp stuff and hit the road and never look back. Figure I can roam for the better part of 2 years, before I get the need to settle somewhere.

Ok, back to reality, don't think my wife and son are quite ready for that life just now. Lol. Although we constantly talk about it.

That would be fantastic.

What tires are you getting for 1500, and only 4....?
Your going to need 5, its going to be closer to 2k ;)
I had a coupon. Haha.

No, I have a business and a fleet, so I get a little deal on my tires.
Yes only (4) 37s for me and a used 35” spare to fit up under.

Ive been curious about that, especially since I bought tires a few days ago.

Whats the plan? If you get a rear flat, put the 35 on the front?
No worries about diff abuse? Some say you can run it a few miles but it can get too hot with wrong sizes.

Seems like no one does it.

How far do you think you can run on a 35 spare with 37s around?

My Jeep spare was 3” smaller than my 35‘s and of I had flat in the rear I would jack up the side of the jeep and took both the front and the rear tire off putting the flat on the tailgate. And the spare on the front since I had an open differential and keeping it in 2w drive I had zero concerns coming back down the mountain and getting home about 60-90 miles depending on what mountain in CO I was playing on.

What if you get flat out wheeling. Which I have. If you need 4x4 I’d rather all tires be the same. My flat was 2.5 from a graded road lol. All 4wd low to get out. Guess depends if you wheel or not. But is rather have the same size tire

If you have to go in 4w then don’t lock the axle.
Riding with one small tire on the axle when engaged is like doing circles in the parking lot. Axle slips like it is designed to do. You will be fine the 2.5 miles. I have had 7 flats wheelin’ in my Jeep and she always got me home. Out of the 160k she has on her 110k is going to the off road site, off-roading, and getting home. I did plenty of off roading with a smaller spare.

Yeah you’ll get home. I still prefer a the right tire. I got 3 extra 37’s with damage sitting in my garage :banghead: Spares for days lol

Yeah but in my 10k build I did not include a bed rack spare or swing gate. So would have to modify my track bar to fit 37” spare. Some run-flats would be a cool option.
