It's been a little while since I posted, but here is a quick update on what I have done to my truck.

I added my RA4 radio (big upgrade from the RA1) and a huge thanks to @Mpgrimm2 for the harness and helping me deal with shipping issues. This coupled with a new rearview mirror (with mic) and the steering wheel controls installed I now have a greats hands-free set up.

Using Alfa I activated windows global down, compass on the EVIC, Mossy Oak splash screen, and the factory alarm (VTA) without and problems.

Now on to the same problem I have been having since day 1 of the upgrade process. After a few successes, I decided to try and add the premium cluster again and work on the mileage. The first standard attempt got me the same result. This was my first attempt since putting in the Nav unit so I activated turn-by-turn and that works well. That confirmed that the EVIC is receiving information from different parts of the truck, and I attempted to change it again.....still no luck.

Slowly picking away at updating this truck, but I can't figure out the odometer (engine hours and idle hours change no problem).

Thank you to this forum and everyone that has helped me out. I was finally able to get the odometer to change.

I needed a faster laptop to get it to take.

Glad to hear it! I know that's been a hassle for you for some time. Enjoy!

Installed low and fog LEDs, just verifying that I need to change led fog and led lows to “yes” with AlfaOBD. I have a 2014 with quad headlights.

You can if you have errors or conversely enable HIDs.

Yes. I would say just change LED low beam back to “no”, and change VehConfig 3 high intensity discharge headlamps to “yes”.

Probably wouldn't qualify for that on my 17' Tradesman then. Thanks man!

Has anyone changed their quad headlight DRL location from high beams (default for Canadian trucks with quad headlights), to turn signals? Want to try this, curious if it will light the turn signals up in their dim or bright setting.
done on my 2014 Canadian RAM SLT with "quad" headlights
it is bright light the TURN light NOT dim like the running lights

A thread about activate the performance pages, I have tried to do the same without suc6....

Who has tried the same with succes?

The settings must be :

Body computer
Car configuration change
VehConfig 1 set to Performace pages Present
VehConfig 1 set to No Package
VehConfig 2 set to No Package
VehConfig 3 set to Vehicle is an SRT

Looking to activate the rear view camera as an easy way to see if I am finally one of the lucky ones, and have it pre-wired. Looking on Alfa I see some of the options may have changed with a recent update.

In body computer - Car configuration change
The only options I see are

VehConfig 1 - Rear view camera
VehConfig 1 - CHMSL camera
ECUConfig 3 - Rear Camera Present.

The ECU Config is the one that is giving me pause, is this the right option to activate?

I’m going to get new mirrors for my 2014 1500. The new mirrors have turn signals and puddle lamps. Can those features be turned on with alphaodb or do I need door modules for those?

Yes they can be turned on and no you don't need new door modules. Your current door modules will support every option put power fold

So I had to program a new fob for my 2016 Ram 1500, and after much research I wanted to share my steps that led to success. Hope it helps someone out there.

THIS IS FOR THE FOBs THAT USE PUSH BUTTON STARTER, not the ones you insert into the ignition. I believe "Lawsuit11's" post is the one you wanna follow if you have that kind of FOB.

1) Obtain your 4 digit pin from your dealer (mine charged me $25). If they ask why you need it, tell them that your locksmith is asking for it.
2) Push the ignition button to ACC
3) Open the AlfaOBD app, and connect to the OBD MX or MX+ interface (mine is bluetooth)
4) Select RAM and select your vehicle (in my case 1500)
5) Select RF Hub
full

6) Once you connect to your RF HUB, look at the bottom of the screen, where you find the little car with the open hood icon. Click on that.

full

7) (and THIS IS IMPORTANT), when you program your FOBIKS, your car must be OFF. So push the start button until your car turns off, and OPEN YOUR DOOR, so all power is turned off to the truck.
8) Select "Program Ignition FOBIK(s) Highline System". This will ask you for your pin (see step 1).

full

NOTE. The instructions say the car must be in a LOCK state, in your case (trucks with the push button starter) thats the "OFF" state.

9) Click on Start. Next, you will see the following dialog box:

full

10) Follow these instructions. If you have more than one FOBs, you can do them all at once. I believe the system allows you 30 seconds to complete the procedure.

NOTE: I have tried this on two different trucks. On one of the vehicles, the message at the end that was displayed said "Already Programmed". But the NEW FOB worked.

Hope it helps :)

Thanks guys. I got it hooked up and taken care of. Definitely notice a difference in shift points especially going from 6th to 5th on the highway.

Yes. I would say just change LED low beam back to “no”, and change VehConfig 3 high intensity discharge headlamps to “yes”.

changing the LED options to “yes” didn’t cure the error, so I switched them back and enabled the “hid” which seems to fixed the problem.

I may have missed it through this post but I have a light on in the cluster that has no call to be on. Is there a way to go in and turn the light off/disable the light with? Everything works just tired of seeing it.
