With the help of @Jimmy07 & @AllMoparParts.com I just went through the process of adding 360° surround view to my 2019 tradesman 6.7, and I got all the hardware installed, all the correct settings selected in Alfaobd and all the cameras are working. However 360 view itself will not work, it just shows black around the truck, when I clear the faults in the canbus I get 360 view for a second then it goes blank again.

The errors I've pulled from the canbus say there's no valid calibration, so I've tried several times to run the calibration procedure, but the front camera always fails.

Does anyone have any experience recalibrating the surround view system? Or have access to a service manual that might better explain the details of the calibration procedure? I'm wondering if I'm missing something and I keep doing the calibration wrong?

Here's a copy of my logs from Alfaobd:

In the first log there's 2 residual codes from when I was still hooking up the cameras, so I cleared them and they haven't come back, only the calibration errors keep coming back.

Update: I got it going, I tried to Manually force just the FRONT camera to calibrate instead of using the Calibrate all function. Even though i tried this before without any luck, it worked today and i was able to finally use 360 Surround view. IF anyone else wants to add this to their truck, here's the list of parts with links to purchase them from our Favorite forum vendor @AllMoparParts.com

Here's the list, keep in mind my truck is a 2019 2500 with tow mirrors! Some/many of these parts may be different for the 1500!

Central vision processing module- 4672644AJ

Rear camera- 68417514AA

Driver side mirror- 68361477AC

Door Module, Left - Mopar (68374091AF)

Passenger side mirror- 68361476AC

Door Module, Right - Mopar (68374090AF)

Front camera- 68417514AA

Radiator Grille: 68443251AA (Big Horn Black Grill)

Tailgate Handle: 6RN80GXHAA (Basic Black Handle)

RAM backing plate for front camera- 68459116AA (Fits Big Horn Grill)

Chrome Trim Pieces for Grill - 6NB37SZ0AB

Front camera bracket- 68386821AA

Front camera bezel- 68364534AA

Front camera screws (2)- 68386822AA

All Those parts come out to about $2,500, however i saved a good chunk of money getting the mirrors used off ebay.

Fakra Universal EXTENSION Cable (Choose Length Desired)

Fakra Direct Female to Female Universal Cable (Choose Desired Length)

You also need a custom Harness to give the CVPM power and access to the CANBus, there's a few members on here that can help with that. Hopefully they'll see this and chime in.

Also since you have to get the fancy Tow mirrors to get the side cameras, and you'll have Power convex mirrors with them, i suggest spending the extra $15 on the power convex button so you can take advantage of them.

Mirror Switch - Mopar (52112478AA)

Again though, to work, this button will require a very small inexpensive custom harness that can be made by other forum members.

Hope this helps.

That will put the setting in the radio to enable/disable them.

They are turned on and off using the cargo lamp switch.

Do you have a ballpark length you ordered for the Fakra cables?
The front camera listed is a mirror camera. Are they the same?

I bought mostly 10ft & 16ft cables, and a few 3ft extensions just in case, probably could've gotten away with just 10 foot cables, but didn't want to take the chance. The coax cable is so thin I just coiled up the excess wire under the carpet and you don't even know it's there.

Also yes, the front, side and rear camera are all the same. The only thing is the rear camera may be a different part number or require an extra piece for proper mounting. I got mine to stay put temporarily, but I may have a friend 3d print me a little spacer to hold it in place better.

Reach out to @Jimmy07 he made my harness, I just wanted to make sure he was ok with me volunteering his name for custom harness on a thread.

well this was exactly what I needed to find. I just bought a 2020 3500 dually limited it has most options just not the surround cams. Not sure why as haven’t seen another truck without it. I’m wondering if I need all the parts you bought like the door modules etc. I already have a back up cam but no cargo cam. I’m replacing the grille so I’ll get a new one with a camera in it. I just need to by replacement mirrors. Mine are already fully electric just missing the camera option. Hopefully you might have some insight on this. Can I also buy a used camera module or does it need to be new. I do have the diagram to add to this post. My local dealer printed this out for me. Thanks

I'm pretty sure you're gonna need to get new door modules to fully support the extra features on the new mirrors like adjustable convex & reverse lights. You may be able to get away with your current modules, but you'll be missing out on the extra features.

On my truck, I had to replace the original back up camera because it was different from the one that would work with the CVPM, I think you'll be in the same situation. I don't remember if the Cargo Camera is required or not.

The front camera is a separate part from the grille, so you'll have to order the camera and appropriate mount for your new grille.

Replacement mirrors are probably the most expensive part, but if you get lucky like I did you can find them used for roughly half the cost of new.

I'm pretty sure if you can find a used CVPM it should work, all it seems to do is handle video signals, I don't think it marries itself to anything else in the truck.

My mirrors already have adjustable convex and blind spot etc. It’s just missing the camera part and the cameras are a separate plug anyway so picking I shouldn’t need the modules.

I’ve found a used grille and they’ve told me it should include the camera. I have found used mirrors already so that saves that cost. For me I may just need to purchase a new module as most places don’t sell the module as they don’t know how to list it. Crazy I know. Not sure how the module mounts as there is already a module under my driver seat that fills up most of the space.

What’s different about the back up cam.

The CVPM can’t process the image of your current backup camera. It has to be the same camera that is used for the front and mirrors, which also means you need the tailgate handle that accommodates the rear surround view camera.
True that junkyards don’t list many of the modules, but if you find a wrecked truck that they have that you know has the surround view system, call them up and they should be able to check for the CVPM.
The CVPM does get mounted under the driver seat on the floor.

Yes I’m aware it’s under the stove seat as my last reply. I just wasn’t sure how it’s meant to fit with the other airbag module mounted under there also

It gets mounted to the floor somehow, I didn't really bother there's so many cables going into the thing it can't really move around so mine is just hanging out on the floor under the seat.

So this is my back up camera. You think it’s the wrong one?

That one won’t work.
On trucks equipped with surround view, there are two plastic eyelet holes in the molded carpet under the driver seat that the christmas tree push pins from the CVPM cover go through. I’m not sure if a non equipped truck has those provisions, but it would be easy to figure something out for them.
