Finally got the 12.1 Phoenix radio installed. Phoenix Automotive is a complete failure of a company but this radio is so awesome. I had some issues while installing but it was all user error and I figured it all out and the backup camera and dash cam dvr are all hooked up and working.

Goodbye stock crooked and slanted exhaust tips...





And hello Carven 5” Black tips...












A few things...

1. These 5” tips 100% changed my exhaust tone and loudness. I had installed the Carven Competitor muffler on Friday, so I had 2 days of driving with it with the stock tips and as soon as I put these 5” tips on, I instantly heard a huge difference in the startup and driving tone. I wish I did these sooner.

2. These fill out the bumpers cutouts so much better than the oem ones.

3. I wish I had done these sooner. Totally love these. I just wish I had gone with the beveled edge ones instead of these rolled edge ones.

Tomorrow I had to install my new front bumper and my new Custom AlphaRex Luxx lights and wire of the DRL’s for them.

More stuff coming this week too.

Wow almost 5yrs old and only 15k miles, that’s such a low mileage Ram. Good find.





It’s super easy to adjust them. I just installed my 5” Carven tips earlier and I was able to adjust mine because my OEM ones were sagging badly from when I originally installed my muffler muffler delete. Then when I installed my carven competitor on Friday I didn’t adjust the stock ones but yea I just did that today, 14mm socket and takes 2 seconds.
I have a cat back welded in, I’m happy with it (for now) Your truck looks incredible, the fit & finish is impressive! I will have to wait a while, to do a headlight upgrade, but when I do I’m certainly going to reach out to you




I had a set of these in my 2012 Reg Cab and I loved them. They were a bit loose on the top half of the seat back but overall I was happy.

As for custom headlights, I can definitely help you get together exactly what you’ll need for a proper retrofit. Oh wow that’s awesome, I definitely did not know about that app. I am gonna shoot a video next week reviewing the unit and features and stuff and if I do a segment on the car web guru app I’ll be sure to give you a shout out for showing me that app.

I haven’t really had time to mess with it too much. You have the 10.4” unit, don’t you? Yours is setup a little different then mine. I do not have the Ram on my Home Screen, I have to go to a selection along the top (car something) for the truck and rpm/mph to show up. My Home Screen is the clock and calendar along the time and a picture of a city skyline along the bottom. Can that be changed inside the native launcher?

Yea I develop apps for the ios ecosystem, and I’ve done stuff on android aswell so I am super familiar with Eclipse and Android Studio. I have had android phones since the very first one, the HTC G2 which looked like an old school sidekick, I was a super early android adopter. I just recently switched to iPhone and Apple about 2 years ago when I got a iPad Pro and MacBook Pro for graphic design, web design and coding (what I do for a living) along with running 2 businesses, one a clothing company. PC’s just couldn’t handle the amount of work I was doing in the scale I was doing in Photoshop and Illustrator, images like 16,000x16,000 lol. Anyways, I’m getting off point here. I’m definitely going to do some research on XDA and read up on what people have done and maybe I can flash a new Rom to this unit.

Are those the Double walled tips for the 5th gens? Did they bolt right up? Only reason I ask is I called Carven when they first came out and was told they would not work on a 4th gen ram.

Not sure. I ordered the Competitor muffler + these tips as a kit for $530 from nick @ GotExhaust and used the promo code and they came to like $486 or something like that. If it’s the competitor kit listed on their site for $529.99.

Thanks. Yeah that’s the next project. It runs great. Needs a little tlc. Gonna be out fair weather Forrest road cruiser. She settled on yellow for the color.

Finished plasti dipping one side. I think they look just fine. New wheels aren’t in the budget right now for me either. This will have to do for now.
