The Pennzoil Platinum line of oils is the same as their Shell Helix Ultra SP line. If you look at the PDS for Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 and Shell Helix Ultra SP 0W-20, you'll see that they match perfectly. This extends to the entire Platinum lineup. I can't, however, map the Ultra Platinum lineup. It seems that it's blended explicitly for North America. From a marketing point of view, PUP should be better than PP. However, Pennzoil Platinum enjoys more testing and development than its Ultra line. It seems kind of counterintuitive that the Platinum lineup might be better than the Ultra lineup, but maybe it is.Amazon, walmart online or local napa sometimes has it not always, local dealership always does, and my local oil distributer https://aidistributors.com all have it here. a&I of course only sells in 6 qt cases which is not big deal and is usually priced slightly more than amazon but a dollar or two a case. I found if you add it to your cart on Amazon and don’t buy it for a couple weeks and you might score a deal. I just scored a deal on some.
the 6.4L calls for 0w40 when I pull up the shell helix 0w40 it does not show it meeting the ms-12633. when my warranty is up I would have no problem running it but I have never seen it locally and PUP 0w40 is cheaper to order and more available..The Pennzoil Platinum line of oils is the same as their Shell Helix Ultra SP line. Now I just gotta intercept the UPS guy and sneak it into the garage without my wife noticing! lol!score
the guy we need to talk into trying = hemi395It's what forums are for. Hope their new recipe isn't a dog. Magnesium is supposed to be a good detergent as calcium, just more expensive.
You're getting away easy. My wife's a gearhead, so she knows what's in the garage. I had to sneak it into storage as soon as it was delivered. Now I just gotta intercept the UPS guy and sneak it into the garage without my wife noticing! lol!
Nope, the Shell Helix Ultra 0W-40 is their Euro blend, analogous to Mobil 1 FS 0W-40.the 6.4L calls for 0w40 when I pull up the shell helix 0w40 it does not show it meeting the ms-12633. when my warranty is up I would have no problem running it but I have never seen it locally and PUP 0w40 is cheaper to order and more available..
There is now some chemical in peanut butter that is toxic to dogs. Not safe for my dog, it’s not safe for me.Woke peanut butter? A huge staple of my diet is skippy, but wth is this? Isnt peanut butter already plant protein? Regular Skippy is 7 grams protein 16 grams fat, it is imo the perfect food if they would but take the sugar out which is not really significant. The woke skippy has the same sugar 10 grams protein everything else is the same. The difference? 3 grams Pea protein, I would bet good money that no human ever said ya know all this peanut butter needs is some peas to make it better.
.
They have to list xylitol if they put it in, which I believe is a wood alcohol made from I believe bark. For a while I was on a xylitol kick when trying to nail down a good gum that didnt have sugar. I like that Purr stuff, no pun intended as that is the name of the gum I chewed. I don't think anything in regular peanut butter would hurt a dog, but hey arent dogs supposed to eat meat anyhow? I don't know anybody who feeds nuts to dogs. There is now some chemical in peanut butter that is toxic to dogs. Not safe for my dog, it’s not safe for me.
I grew up working on a ranch and every year at branding time which was also dehorning and castration time...those working dogs loved getting some of those steer nuts....They have to list xylitol if they put it in, which I believe is a wood alcohol made from I believe bark. Careful with any of the "litol" artificial sweetners, too much can give you the runs something fierce....They have to list xylitol if they put it in, which I believe is a wood alcohol made from I believe bark. here is something for the adventurous
it is kind of misleading when you go to their website. Is not actually ms-12633 certified they basically say instead if your vehicle uses ms-12633 use this..not quite the same. That's really really good stuff. If it was xheaper, I would definitively run it in my HEMI. It also meets MS-12633 if that matters to you.
That’s the chemical, xylitol. Many folks used to use peanut butter to hide pills in.They have to list xylitol if they put it in, which I believe is a wood alcohol made from I believe bark. Okay, to be perfectly accurate, to write MS-12633, Chrysler copy-pasted API SN and added the stipulation that it has to have an HTHS greater than 3.5. When they upgraded the formulation to API SP, they changed MS-12633 to MS-A0921, because this spec is API SP + HTHS of 3.5 or greater. That's all it is.it is kind of misleading when you go to their website. Is not actually ms-12633 certified they basically say instead if your vehicle uses ms-12633 use this..not quite the same.
RAVENOL Super Synthetik Öl SSL SAE 0W-40 is approved, tried and tested for aggregates specifying:

License: API SN
Approvals: MB-Approval 229.5, MB-Approval 226.5; Renault RN0700/RN0710; Porsche A40; VW 502 00 VW 505 00
Recommendations: BMW Longlife-01, MB 229.3; Fiat 9.55535-M2; Chrysler MS-12633, Chrysler MS-10725; Ford WSS-M2C937-A
This is one of the best post's on ANY forum that I have seen in a LONG time!! Well done sir! A great response to Burla's comment "I don't know anybody who feeds nuts to dogs."I grew up working on a ranch and every year at branding time which was also dehorning and castration time...those working dogs loved getting some of those steer nuts....
but yet they don't have Ram's. It is a bummer because lots of good/great oils equal to or superior to PUP no doubt that don't have the blessing of chrysler.Okay, to be perfectly accurate, to write MS-12633, Chrysler copy-pasted API SN and added the stipulation that it has to have an HTHS greater than 3.5. The Ravenol SSL 0W-40 has actual OEM approvals that are tough to get. For example, to get a Porsche A40 OEM approval, the oil is tested on the track, in a twin-turbo Porsche 911, around the Nurburgring in Germany. When testing concludes the engine is torn down, wear is measured, and the oil is analyzed. That's in addition to the tests they run in the engine lab. A twin-turbo Porsche engine is much much tougher on oil than any HEMI, including the Hellcat. Some SRT owners run this Ravenol SSL 0W-40 in their HEMIs. Spec for spec it's identical to Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 and Castrol EDGE Euro 0W-40. However, you can get both of these cheap. Or for less money, you can get Red Line 0W-40, which is just as synthetic as the Ravenol. Yes, Ravenol is Group IV and V, but mostly IV. I'm cheap, so I wouldn't spend money on the SSL 0W-40. However, Ravenol makes really good transfer case fluid for the BW44-44, the BW48-11, and BW48-13, all PAO.
I do my best to spread a little cheer. .This is one of the best post's on ANY forum that I have seen in a LONG time!! Well done sir! A great response to Burla's comment "I don't know anybody who feeds nuts to dogs."
This is certainly off topic but as a life long dog owner, I feed my dog nothing but meat. How many wild or domesticated canines have you ever seen grazing in a wheat or corn field? I am guessing none.....
Okay, back to the topic and sorry for the deviation. Okay, not sorry. We all need a good laugh once in awhile.
