What did you do with your 5th Gen this week?

I had two custom visible blue dots added to my black paint scheme.

Joking. The alignment shop Mechanic left me two bright blue painted references points on my frame, that are clearly visible walking around my truck. They did a great alignment job.

I called the shop owner and asked him why they don't use water based paint for trucks like mine? Suggested they should.

Does it matter? Yes and no. Its annoying. I thought I'd put this here as a lessons learned.

Now, I'll do 30 minutes of masking and spraying.

Lesson learned - I'm taking a can of water soluble paint to hand them next time.

I'd be spray painting it black too if that happened to my truck!

Yes. I'm 6 foot tall. From 10 feet away.

Did the rear diff at 66K. Drained and filled with Amsoil severe gear and 4 oz mopar friction modifier.

Old stuff looked pretty good.

I replaced the engine air filter with a WIX filter. I am impressed with the new way you open and close the airbox. I like the screws.

I got quite a scare in mine. The wife and I were heading down the road to our farm when we got run off the road by fracking truck. He was 5ft into my lane, I had to go into a ditch filled with mud and frozen water. Truck handled it with no problem however when I hit 40mph it started vibrating like it was going to fall apart. I got out and checked everything for the 2nd time and all looked fine. We took it home and power washed the wheels and undercarriage. The problem went away, I am assuming some debris was caught up in the wheel. I had my local mechanic check it over. All good, he suspects that the mud which was partially frozen threw off the tire balance

I got some black reflective letters for my grill on my all black night edition. I'm hoping they will shine at night. Gonna try and get them on tomorrow and see.
