I believe we came to the conclusion that those are for the marker lights on the rear fenders on a 3500+ Dually. No reports of anyone with one trying it yet. It doesn't do anything on a 1500 or 2500.

But it says side mirror repeaters used as marker lights. I'd assume they mean the turn signals on the mirrors

Yup, but the setting does nothing on trucks equipped with mirror mounted turn signals (several of us have tried) and the rear fender marker lights on the duallys are referred to as side repeaters in some literature. The other option is that it's for another vehicle model and does nothing on any RAM truck since the BCM modules are shared across multiple models. The only currently known way to get the mirror mounted turn signals on a 4th gen RAM truck to function as running lights is to purchase and install one of the aftermarket wiring kits.

Well damn. I've seen the kits for sale on Facebook ram pages. Thought about dropping 20 and doing it.

Not sure why but your link isn't taking me to the post. Even changed from 20 posts to 40 posts per page.

I'm not seeing the problem a first glance. I can see a lot of the changes back and forth that you've made in efforts to get the CSM to show. Honestly, it should be showing up...

When you get a chance, try going into the BCM and instead of going into car configuration menu go a little ways up the screen to program customer features. In there you will find daytime running lamps. Click on enable and see what it reports back. Technically this is only to turn them off and to turn them on. Essentially the same as selecting on the radio settings. Make sure it says enabled then let the truck sleep for a bit.

There was some confusion in my posts earlier in this thread. I have an RA2, just edited previous posts, I confused splash screen with evic logo. I have not yet purchased everything to swap to the 8.4. Still need atc conversion.

I can confirm 100% that there is a DRL setting in my RA2. I will post a picture after work. I can not remember if it was there before I went to activate my DRLs with the alfa though. I never tried before I got this tool.

Thank you @ramrocker for searching this out! Adding links to OP with acknowledgement

What if I reset the radio? Perhaps it will rebuild based off of the bcm and then add it in there?
I have personally performed the factory reset a couple times on my 8.4 with no issues. However, this is one of those do at your own risk kind of things much like the Alfa software.

Resetting did absolutely nothing
I have a 14 and it is slow to show codes as well. I have also had certain radios that for whatever reason will not show certain settings that are enabled but other radios will. I do have the DRL settings menu on the screen but I had upgraded to the RA4 before I enabled them. These things can be frustrating sometimes because for whatever reason not all of the trucks act the same. This seems to happen alot with the RA2 radios. Unfortunately Chrysler is not nearly as good about updates to the firmware on the RA2. It's a long shot but it doesn't hurt to check and see if there is an update for your radio on the Uconnect website. I have seen RA2 radios not show backup camera settings, trailer brake settings and audio settings in the past, but when replaced with a different radio they showed up. You can buy RA2 radios for $50 to $75 pretty easily if you want to try one out of a newer Ram to see if it shows up. There is really no guaranteed solution when these things happen but that's one other option you can possibly try.

Just went through and tried to do a compare with Note++. The only thing that stood out is "Dedicated DRL Lamps Open Circuit DTC Enable: Set". Mine is "Not Set" but this should have nothing to do with the CSM showing up.

Sorry to say but I am at a loss. Perhaps set and literally wait and see after some time goes by. At least they are working for you now and hopefully in time the CSM will show in the light settings on your RA2.

@rackemron4 @tdhachmann or anybody else that had the factory remote start installed on a pre 2017 ram. Did you already know your PIN prior to the install, and is it still the same number after the install?

I have a 2017 with the RA2 radio and can say with done certainty that the option is only there once it's enabled. I don't have the option as mine are set to Canada where DRLs are mandatory

Finally! Got remote start working. I accidentally broke the #11 terminal pin and took a while to get another one.

But today I was able to finally ground the terminal and it worked right away.

I’ll do a little write up with pictures later

Could you provide a list of exactly what you had to do with AlphaOBD to get it to work. I am hoping to do this in the next week or so. Thanks

i did not. The dealer gave me my code but it didn’t work so I paid the tech to program my FOBs. But he said he was the same code though. Thanks.

This is my wish list:

DRL - Activated!!!!!!!!!!!!
TPMS low pressure - adjustable settings
Speedo calibrator for diff tires
Power fold mirrors when locking/unlocking/keyless entry
Auto roll down windows with keyfob
Multiple camera inputs Front/Sides/Cargo
Regen notice on evic
Stereo volume same when starting/turning off (if off stays off)
Always show transmission gear in evic
Fxclm5. Did you get transmission gear to show in evic? If so, which evic? Mine is express. This would be a neat addition if possible
